@Eight1Eighty2 I will take Deliverance over EVERYTHING Em ever did. Eminem is a brilliant MC and songwriter and his flow has improved greatly over the years but there's one thing Bubba has that Em doesn't: soul. Bubba's flow just feels more natural than Em's, especially on those Timbaland joints.
Everyone loved "Deliverance". There will never be an album quite like it. It really appealed to my down home roots. This song serves as a warning to all of us guys. Love your woman, be faithful. Because just like that.. she can be gone.
@IzzyRay101 Actually, I was in Iraq when I first heard this album. Loved it so much, meant so much to me that I bought the LP, the Import and domestic Albums.
still can't believe he bolted on timbo to do that yin yang twin BULLSHIT. One of the best southern albums in a long time. Coined the term "hick-hop". Made it cool to be country AND hood.
OH DAMN THIS WAS MY SONG!!! it makes me sad that he changed and went all city and didnt stay his big country ass self. I liked him when he was like that. Get back in the mud DAMN IT!
bubba has certainly fell off...i hate that he went with that "new booty" bullshit. This is one of the best southern hip hop albums ever. Something I found out about this track, is that the guy singing the hook is the lead singer from OneRepublic. That shit blew my mind that he was fucking with timbaland back then
thank you for your excellent insight, I've been saying the same sentiments, the album is a gem, still underrated to this day, that and Kweli's "Eardrum"
@bigroythereneGAde True that. He didn't stick to his roots when New Booty hit the club scene. That song to me, was like the last of the good club songs of that style during that era. Don't get me wrong, it was a nice joint, but it was not who Bubba was, and Bubba and Timbo were genius together. I hope Bubba comes back and finds his roots again.
This song right here, is the shit. I remember when I bought this CD, I heard this song and was blown away. Pure greatness, now if only Bubba will come back to this style over Ms. New Booty.
Deliverance is one of the most slet-on albums, ever.

Bubba Sparxxx makes better songs than Eminem. I always thought that. He's not a better lyricist, though.

Absolutely. I don't fell that Ms Booty bullshit at all. He should have stayed with Timbaland and Justin Timberlake.

Precisely my thoughts.
Timbo was - and still is - one of the best producers out there.
Period.
