  • If u have a iq or iq2. 1. Back and select. 2. Wait and watch the circular set of lights . As soon as the circular lights, light up the 2nd time. Proceed to push standby, up, down, standby. =-

  • thanks for this. worked on my 700 :D.

  • Thanks for this upload. Very helpful.

  • thanks mate, this is very useful. had some issues with free-to-air channels that lost signal completely. this firmware update fixed it up like a dream.

  • do u need to have the phone cable plugd in? i dnt keep my phone cable cuz pplz are always around my huas n buy movies n stuff....lol

  • No the phone doesnt need to be plugged in. It pulls the data it needs down over either the satellite or cable connection.

  • oh ok but doesnt it upgrade its self?

  • Yeah it does eventually. This forces an immediate update. It's useful for when either Foxtel release a new update (that you want to get right away) or for when you get your box replaced (assuming the tech himself doesnt do this for you).

Foxtel slowly push out new updates when they release them.

  • this did not work for my iq

  • sorry yes it did, but did not show a progress display

  • Depending on the type of video connection from the IQ to the TV you may not be able to see the progress display. From memory the composite and RF connections definitely show it. S-vdideo shows up in black and white, and component video doesnt display at all.

Just wait until all the coloured lights go out (the firmware update should be complete) and the box will reboot into standby. On the IQ the final reboot does take a little while.

  • thanks it worked but did not fix my audio cut out issue

  • awesome, thanks for posting
