He sounds just great in what ever language he sings or whistles in, and I wish I had listened to more of his music when I was younger. He's truly a brilliant artist. Thanks very much for uploading this. Reminds me of much nicer and innocent times.

I LOVED his music back in the 70'es and the 80ies, where his music was under influence of South American rythms combined with his british and african roots.

But this really makes me puke! It is such a shame that Roger has ended his glorious career singing these disgusting german schlagers . This can only be for the sake of easy money.

See the person that posted the song is GERMAN, so it gives him the right to post it this way. Roger, is a very talented man, and can sing in many languages, nothing wrong with that. At 2:00 min on he turns to the guitar player (i.e. take it away) The camera pans back to him; he is still facing the guitar player smiling yet clearly one can see he is not whistling the tune all the while hearing it. I suspect he cannot whistle anymore and was just lip syncing more or less.

Roger is a nice very humble and happy that he was born in Kenya. The whisting reminds me of Kenyans walking down the street whistling their favourite songs and McFerrin. The two artist are of rare character. Music is art, history, literature make it as beautiful as you can for the generations to feel it.

The music is beautiful and the slip on the dubbed whistling is forgivable (recorded for broadcast) since those of us who have seen Roger perform live know that he is a quite capable whistler.

Purchase a Roger Christmas L/P (Darcy The Dragon) in middle 70's. Took it to the pastor of my parrish in Philaelphia, and ask him to pick one of the songs, and sing it at mass. He did just that. All on the internet who come across YouTube, and R. W. videos, must forward videos to as many people as possible. Roger is an icon in Europe, and I'd like to see him be one in the U. S. Roger, you are a fine man, and a gentleman.

I loved the instrumental "Whistle Stop" that he did. It is so controlled and the vibrato is so strong it sounds almost like a penny whistle or tin whistle to my ears.
