I agree, I don't think the movies (with the exception of the third one) ever convey the same spirit as the books. Often times the acting is weak, and Hermione is getting on my nerves. I didn't like the movie either, and I hope to God that the last one coming out soon is going to pull out all the stops. Maybe they should bring back Alfonso Curon or whoever it is that directed the 3rd one! But not likely since its already done and being edited lol.
This was by far the worst film adaptation of the series. It absolutely killed me how easy they made it seem for the death eaters to just strut into Hogwarts, knock some dishes over, and strut right out with no struggle from the D.A. I loathed how they FORCED Ginny to the foreground such as the burrow scene or the room of requirements. If they are going to make a film off a book, shouldn't they follow the plot instead of making things up that do nothing more than just interrupt real story lines.
shut up just because they missed out a page from, i dont know chapter 3, or whtever from a thousand paged book boohoo, such a disapointment. really just concentrate on the actual film not if it plays up to the book.
1. they left out alot more than a page like idk the lessons with dumbldore the huge fight scene the fact that they went to hogsmead when they went after the horcrux the fact that harry wasnt under an invisability cloak when dumbl. was killed tonks found harry on the train not luna. The burrow scene wasnt needed and did nothing for the story
2. I agree not every detail should be brought from the book but the main plot should at least i mean the
fact that the focused so little on harry and dumbledore trying to figure out whats behind volds power and the mystery behind malfoy as well instead they focused on the bullshit that was teen emotions
This movie was a total disappointment. I can't believe people are comparing it with Prisoner of Azkaban, and even calling it the best in the series. They murdered the story, took out the best parts of the book, and filled it with teenage romance and some made up fight between bellatrix and the Weasley's house.
I think, personally, I would be alot more passionate about how much i disliked the movie...then again, its understandable that the audience would probably react negatively to your video...
I believe it wasn't necessary to bring in the burrow scene and leave out Voldemort's family scene (Morfin, His Grandfather and Mother)
I personally would give the movie an 8 or an 8.5 out of 10, but I agree with some of your points because they're valid and, honestly, they're *expected*. My only real...not even complaint, just a mild curiosity, was the *SPOILER* Avada Kedavra scene with Severus and DD. I thought it would be much more dramatic than that. He just says it and Dumbledore dies. I thought there would be a bigger emotional thing, but it's literallly death. I'm fine with it but for a minute I was just like...that's it?
first let me thank you for taking the time out to comment. I like people who engage such like what you're doing. The lack of emotion for that scene was one thing. but my gripe came more from the preceding scene in the cave. In the book DD is at a 10 scream and wailing in agony and in the film it doesnt even go above a whimper. It didnt set up the mercy killing motive that JK (i believe) was going for.
i was dissapointed. i thought that in order to tell the story of the book they need to push the envolope. they did not do that. Weak translation is the biggest problem with this movie
