@D4nnypery Okay...so I bumped into a problem right off the bat. I put the same type of dates as you had purchased into my food processor...but oddly nothing really happened. I'm considering getting a large ziplock bag and maybe using the flat end of a meat mallet to get them to moosh into a paste. Did you have any trouble with your Magic Bullet?
@timwarely I didn't have any trouble with the Magic Bullet but I did have trouble with other food processors. We used the single blade and only put in 4-5 dates at a time.
Thank you so much for this recipe. I just bought my first few larabars and like hem but don't like paying $1.25 each. This. Is such a simple recipe. Nice job!,
We used 10.5 oz of sun dried pitted dates. Unpitted dates also work, but remeber that the pits shouldn't be used, and they constitute a part of the weight!
Yeah! I'm really glad that you tried it. It's so easy too... :)
We made several hundred and then put them in the refrigerator, and they've kept very well up til now. I don't remember if I added this bit of info, but you can make healthy chocolate larabars by adding unsweetend cocoa powder (baking cocoa) to the mix. About one teaspoon per bar is really tasty, kind of like Oreo cookies.
Thanks for the great video I just tried Lara Bars yesterday and fell in love with this particular flavor. I bought one to send to my husband in Iraq and now I can make them myself for a lot cheaper and he can have healthy food to much on!
I am very excited to try this out! Thanks for taking the time to do this video :)

@NaturesFairy
Hey, thanks! Try making thinner ones and sandwich two with peanut butter [assuming you like the latter]. The result is very pleasing.
