i have a sharpei , she have the same problem ! piodemodex ! its a generalized form of demodex . i have tried all medications , pills , shampoo ect ! at this stage of sick its better to use TAC TIC intervet (amitraz) use with caution ! it small like fuel , 4ml each litre ! for bath (every 2weeks during 4months) , carefull the eyes, never on it!!!!! (use a sponge,terry towel for the face) use the bath once . after 3 bath the dog seems better , dont stop the tratment !!!! dont breathe too much .

anyone that would put a dog down because of mange really need to think twice, i know this case was bad but mange is easily curable, and its not a disease as one person said, its nothing but mites.. i have cured both demodectic mange and sarcoptic, btw what type of treatment did the vet use on this poor thing?

Use Nustock it will cure that I promise you it really works I used it on my pitbull she had started to develop that and with two applications she was cured and the coat now has grown back even on the scar tissue. I strongly recommend it to anyone

I don't mean to sound cruel, I am an animal lover and I also fight for animal rights. But watching this video, it wouldn't be better for the sake of this dog to be put down? I really admire you for what you have done, amazing act...but It is clear this dog is suffering from this disease. Well I really hope to be wrong, i hope this animal is fine now!! I am sorry if i sound 'heartless; but i don't like to see animals on pain! Anyway you done a good job with Angel!

@leomatosuk have you read some of my responses to people asking how angel is now? the kind of mange she had is treatable and I knew that. she was miserable and in pain but I had hope for her and so did many others. if you would please check out her new owners you tube page to see how vibrant, healthy and beautiful she is. @leomatosuk If you were a true "animal lover," you would know that mange is completely curable. It is not a disease. They are microscoptic mites that bore under the skin and itch the dog to pieces. They loose much hair. There are special shampoos, dips and treatments to use, and the dogs completely recover. FYI-People can get it too. Hope you never have an animal with it. You'd probably put it down. Maybe if you were to get it, you'd understand.

How does someone go about treating a dog that bad ? I assume it must be very careful. Does the dog feel very sore,and is most dogs aggressive towards treatment..? especially a male stray, or standoffish dog..?

I found such a dog in Matamoros, Mexico. Red mange. Would have died. With the right treatment from a vet in Texas, the dog is healing fine, happy and energetic.

I found her at the pound and have to save her from being put down. found out she is just a puppy and a Mastiff. she was shipped to a lady in California and is doing very well. I assume the poor girl was so neglected and then turned loose on the streets. makes me really mad that people did this to her. that is why i had to save her.
