@im666k You miss the point. It's a Q and A period from the audience...911-"truthers" are no different than hate-speakers...both are equally uninformed and trying to cause controversy in the wrong place at the wrong time. That is what security is for. In Canada, you can actually be arrested for hate-speech, unlike in America, where it is your constitutional right to free speech, so I doubt they were "arrested", unless they put up a physical fight.
@im666k if you listen to what he says, he defends his right to free speech "I'll be outside having a smoke, come and find me then, don't let them kick you out".
@im666k well apart from the fact that they blatantly didn't, Hitchens actually said that no police intervention was required, the police were there to make sure that the guy didn't try and attack Hitchens physically in reality.
I love it that they named an asteroid after Hitch, one of the brightest stars that ever shone on this planet. Love and miss him. Ever so thankful for what we have left in his debates, interviews and books.
That heckler... I love how people like that are just so willing to jump on every single stupid little conspiracy theory bandwagon that comes down the road. Apparently long hair and a beard is an acceptable substitution for intelligent reasoning. Hitchens acted in spite of him to show he was the better person and well... he was. =) Passive-aggressive Hitch-slap!
@BroJeetKune Spite is rarely a sign of one person being better than another. What was, on the other hand, respectable was his willingness to talk after the main debate.
That moment after the swallowing sperm comment. When Christopher pushes away the microphone made me belly laugh like nothing else. Man I'm going to miss Hitchens knowing nothing new will now come makes for a sad end to this year.
Christopher Hitchens helped me to embrace the truth that "God is not Great"! When he did his book tour, he went to the religious, he held debates with believers. I was one of those pastors who took his arguments seriously. I was introduced to his debates before I read his books. He helped me to lose my faith - good riddance! He helped me to gain my reason - thank Hitchens! He and I share a birthday. Every April 13th, I will remember and miss him.

@BrokenBard He can't be allowed to hijack the Q and A. Still. A freethinker can't help but want to let him plead his ignorant case.

@sulljoh1 True...but time is money and Hitchens was flown in and he had limited time.

I love that he wanted to talk peacefully to his heckler. Even told the cops to go and not to throw him out. First class.
