I guess this is good for pleco. Piranhas won't get him/her... but I got a problem that my tank (250 litres) was fulled with peaceful fish. So I've got some (about 30) zebras, 2 temporalis and... yes now I have only pleco... and this fish is only 12 cm (about 5 inches) long... temporalis were 20&18cm (~8&7 inches). Is this situation could be caused by food (algae, etc.)? Vegetables makes fish and people angry ;)?

@The0Burger0King its' sliming your fish, basically sucking the slim coat off. I suggest you find another food source for him, something more appealing then you fish. Fresh veggies (cucumbers, zucchini, lettuces, peas, kiwi-just learned that on) every night. Just search through some forums to find out what people feed them...thats what i was doing lol

What I had did was take my pleco out because my fish that he attacked was already sick. I kept him in a separate take for a bout a month until my fish was well. He seemed fat enough so I have had do issues so far. Either way my fish is fast enough to shake him off. good luck.

@The0Burger0King it also depends on how big your take its. And they get board of just algae wafers fairly quickly. I got him some sinking shrimp pellets a while back, just find out what he likes. I just bought a bunch of veggies to figure out what he likes. So far sweet potato is his fav and mushrooms are tasty. I tried spinach and that didn't work just. Put the veggies in at night and pull them out in the morning. Note it will case him to poop more

@TheToastPeople Piranha's can't bite into the plecos hard shell skin. It's skin is made like ancient fish, The only soft spot is the eyes and belly, besides that they are pretty much indestructible. They also use their tail as a whip and smash what ever is in their way. And when a predator does decide to try to eat one they put out their pectoral fins that have barbs on the end and stab the inside of the fish.
