@darnoc698 i used to deadlift 3/4 times a week but never had much gains, then i went to doing it just 1 or 2 times a week and saw alot more improvement, so maybe less is more
lol. deadlifting 3-4 times a week is such a bad idea. If you're going heavy and working hard, your body will only allow you to do it max twice a week (assuming you squat somewhere in there)
The fact that he can easily snatch this much weight is ridiculous. He must be getting some good shit.
He clearly labelled the Video a MUSCLE SNATCH!! Dropping under the bar would make it MUCH MUCh easier. Here Kevin demonstrates freakish amounts of strength in his shoulders. This is actually around the weight I currently deadlift!!!!
This is a better way to snatch. Some people will immediatly jerk it above the head and then push. What nee is doping, which I prefer is jerking it quickly to the chest and pushing it up with shoulders from that point, all at the same time trying to make it fairly fluid.
i know, my terminology was decieving. I wasnt meaning a push in that sense i just didnt know what else word to use. I know what a snatch is, I was pointing out his teqnique in comparison to other snatches i have seen.
he isn't a oly lifter, so doubt he trains them much since they have little to no carry over to strongman. This was pretty decent muscle snatch considering how hard it is to do, but he did use legs and not very fluid-look at Mikhail Koklyaev for perfect muslce snatch done easily, he was pro oly lifter though-. He is strong as fuck though, curious to see how he does next WSM.
listen fool, you have contradicted yourself here. oly lifts "little to no carry over to strongman" but koklyaev is in the top 3 in the world and trains oly lifts daily and all throwing athletes use oly lifts. you think it would have no carry over to keg toss?
Ok so one strongman trains them a lot, he is a freak true he does lots of other things also. A strongman trying to take time to learn all oly lifts would be counterproductive. Most do not train them very often, and most events don't get much carryover from olympic lifts. It make more sense to train the events, and maximum strength then confusing oly lifts, which is what 90+% do.
why do people not want to accept that oly lifts make a huge difference? What do you have against olympic weightlifting? Are you mad that you don't know the lifts good? Or do you not like them because the numbers you lift with oly lifts aren't high enough for your ego?
I agree Olympic lifting is the best type of lifts because its incorperates full body workouts. They work so many muscles. Instead of just going into the gym and doing arm curls and leaving thinking your going to see results. Isolated workouts are when youve already made size doing olympic workouts.
whats the point with muscle snatches? stupid shit for people who are too lazy to learn weightlifting...

@darnoc698 He's not trying to make it sound like he deadlifts a lot you moron. He's using it as an example to describe kevin's power. So dumb..
