Ecco became one pf my favorite dolphins. I have a coppy of the Sega Genesis collection for The PS2 and it has the first three Ecco games.

There is a PC release, but it's just as hard to find as the original two. I don't know how the PC is, but I say it's good to have both the Genesis and Sega CD versions of this game. the cart and CD versions have completely different soundtracks, with the CD version having the cinematics. Load times aren't bad, either. Aside from that, gameplay and graphics are the same.

I have the game for genesis,and I had once the same game in my pc playing it with Sega Emulator,both Ecco the Dolphin and Tides of Time.

But that version of the video never played,I have a file of 2G that downloaded but cannot play it with a playstation Emulator....

Like mentioned, I don't know how it looks on PC and I never played it on an emulator.

The Sega CD version of Tides of Time has those scenes. They're found in hidden glyphs. The first glyph is pretty easy to find. In the first area you just swim along the top of the water until you get to the wall before the 3D portion. If there is no glyph there, then the scenes don't appear on that version.

Actually a lot of these cinemas are from Ecco 2: Tides of Time for Sega CD, the clips are flashback clips (of events that happened in Ecco 1) from the Memory Glyphs

Most of us didn't find them, they came out when we were younger. We got our Sega Genesis when I was about 8 and played the first two Ecco games. This one came out for the Dreamcast or PS2 I think.

I haven't played ecco in forever, my best friend still has her genisis from when it was new, I remember when she first got it, the wii however has released it and you have to use the special controller for the older games. By the way Meru-sama, this is a beautiful video, nice job!!

Most of these scenes are from the sequel - Ecco: Tides of Time, although judging from the quality, they aren't Sega CD versions. Looks to be a re-release with remastered video.

Ecco the Dolphin is a really special game. It's one of the few examples out there of a video game that is a work of art. The best thing about the Ecco games is that there is no other single game like it in the world, there were so few games made, it is an amazing story I'm proud to be part of.

I loved this game series...its just to bad ecco had to use the time machine and then dissapear. I mean really...him becoming part of the stars is an ok idea...but to get rid of him that just isn't nice.
