I agree with what everyone has said about this show. Its an amazing piece of TV history and the women brought so much joy and laughter and continue to do so in 2011. You can tell they truly loved one another and respected the writers and everyone behind the scenes as well. Such an honor to see this show and be a fan of it. Did anyone ever see the English version of The Golden Girls?They were meant to be in Brighton,and they just did the exact same dialogue as the originals!!I remember watching the very first episode,which was the pilot of The Golden Girls...Sheila Hancock was in it,as Dorothy if i remember well enough!!It was completely awful,and totally UNfunny...which just go's to show that these actresses (Bea/Rue/Betty and Estelle,were absolute masters of their craft,and worked pure magic together!!

I used to watch the Golden Girls w/ my mother & grandmother when I was a young girl thru my early teens. I have so many precious memories from the times we shared laughing together..and now my girls watch the show w/ me and love it just as much, I hope they feel the same way I did when I was a girl. My 3 best friends and I want to be "Golden Girls" when we get older. There will never be another show that can compare and I'm so thankful to have experienced it!

Thank you for the opportunity to view this show which I have never seen. Because I lived outside the USA most of my life I only saw a few episodes in the mid 80's when visiting my mother. It was through a very young friend in Switzerland that I really got into the show. He has all seasons on DVD and we laugh over and over again no matter how many times we see the same thing. One knows what is coming and is already laughing. Just as with I Love Lucy. Thank you again.
