would you suggest this car for me? (not you selling, but a duster) I am 16 years old, trying to get a first car, these seem great, a little high of insurance, but I bet I can handle it. Would you suggest this over a skylark, or any other budget muscle car?

@MarksmanLeBlanc get one! i have a 73 duster i got for my first car 4 yrs ago when i was 15 for my first car and it was the best decision ever. and surprisingly inshurance is kinda cheap

@MarksmanLeBlanc yea they all should. i drove mine for 3 years as a daily driver even in the winter untill i started racing it then i had to get a seccond car as it was less practical. but if you put a little work into one they can be really a really good reliable daily driver

@340Dustya thanks for all the info! I live in Mass.. Heard they are a b**** about muscle cars. They charge excise tax on the highest value given. As well as the fact that my town has a book of different exhaust stock decibel limits, as in MA law, you cannot have any db over stock... I gotta get a low priced muscle car, and this is the best way to go. Say a normal car is 1 grand to insure, how much would a duster (360 or whatever you have) cost? Thanks a ton man.

@MarksmanLeBlanc i have an 02 status and my duster, and the duster is actually cheaper to insure lol. its only appraisd at 4000$ thats why because thats what we bought it for. i believe it is like 200 cheaper for my duster than my stratus a yr. its not even worth that much since its not an origional engine and is an orig 318. you should be good!

bad ass, put some mufflers on that beast and drive it! on the bad side There is a guy in my neighborhood that has a camaro with a supercharger sticking out the hood cammed out with mufflers i see him all the time, drove behind him once and got fixated with all the raw fuel he is dumping at part throttle cruising. I guess its a bad idea, maybe put a milder cam in it to run the street?

and also 340s are just plain out better blocks interms of reliability.. not to mention an R1 or an R3 block .. the T/A 340 blocks were also some thick ass blocks...even the normal 340 blocks are better than any 360..

Very nice car .. is thata W2-340? and for the guy that "learned" years ago that 360s are better faster...errr...i dont think so .. 340s have always been better for racing..if you can get your hands on one that is ...and just ONE reason being is the W2 cylinder head..we al know its the best castiron head you can get for the small chryslers.. but we also know they like rpm..and we also know that 340s are the way to go when rpm is key.. i have eatin sleeped and breathed chryslers my entire life..

cool true the dusters darts demons were very light cars put a 340 4 speed with 391s your going to kick some ass. big block eaters. in 69 the 340 was hi winding they called them small block screamers. power to weight matters ttyl. bud.

A very healthy Duster and an awesome looking ride, but the 340 numbers look terrible. Pheonix Graphics can hook you up with the real ones. I just bought my stripes for my 72 340 Duster and they are nice!
