That sounds "fantastic". That's the only way to put it man. I just got an Orange County Avalon today, great set, i just wish i had your tuning skills.
@SomeGuyWithABucket It's those black suede emperors making them sound like shit lol..clear emperors with clear ambassador bottoms on those toms if you must use remo..i prefer Evans g2 clear on top and g1 clear on bottom of toms, g2 coated snare batter, hazy 300 clear bottom, emad on kick
@SomeGuyWithABucket If thats the sound your looking for I would pass on ANY coated heads..Coated heads tend to be warmer sounding and you lose alot of the nice deep sound..I would use clear emperors on batter side and clear ambassadors on resonant side of toms and ambassador coated on snare batter with a clear diplomat on bottom and powerstrokes on the kick..that would give you a killer low punchy sound on the pies
u give dimensions on the drums like ur giving dimensions on the cymbals? u give the width but not the dimension? what r the DIMENSIONS?????????(length)
even through the shitty sound quality, you can tell your kit sounds beast. only thing i would do, is throw some muffler in your b-drum. other than AWESOME kit
Hey, that's a pretty good sounding kit but have you guys heard of Battle Field drums? I really love the sound of them. Just my opinion though. Oh, and, don't say that a drum set is the "best." Drumming is all about opinion.
this might be an extremely idiotic question but oh well, are pork pie drums any good? i never really heard of them. but maybe i live under a rock, i dont know.
PORK PIE IS SOOOOOOOO MUCH BETTER THAN EPIARCH SJC AND TRUTH firstly truth sucks and are overpriced... sjc is overepriced but sound beatiful and epiarch is a no definately no ha three not durable to the least. ihave to say sjcs are the most customizable out of the 4 but the porkpie is pretty customizable but will sound WAY better and will be worth more in the long run... porkpies keep there value unlike the other 3 maybe sjc will but i know truth and epiarch will NOT keep a good value trust me.
this looks like a kit that was on ebay a couple months ago..... Its a very nice kit, it kinda looks like mine but mines an American made Orange County, haha. nice kit bro..
Now I want one

What are you using for your batter and resonant side on your drums
(seeing as i have black suede emperors on the batter side but the stock resonants are making them sound like shit)

I use black suede emperors. . .
So do you recommend Coated Emperors or pinstripes for a deep low end sound?

mrclean905 3 years ago
I'm pretty sure battlefield uses keller shells, so they would sound the same as other custom kit companies, like truth, sjc or shine etc etc.
Does pork pie use keller?

mynameisjacob50 3 years ago
Ya, there custom drums, really nice, pricey, but made in american "by and american" :P good kits
JoshTheDrummer69 3 years ago
The only drums that are better than pork pies (in my opinion) are DW's of course and a Rogers drum kit.
Pork Pie is one of the best though.
cph42594 3 years ago
DWs hard has gotten worse over the years tho which is why i think pork pie is above DW but thats just me.

The drums KILL everything else I have tried. I love this set more than I can say.

Im glad i found this video
do you mind me asking how much the 4 piece costed, no cymbols?
spamupthebutt 3 years ago
dont get pork pie, your better off getting a real custom set. go for epiarch, sjc, or truth
kikirune 3 years ago
You can get pork pie customs moron
what1ever2guy3 3 years ago
your a dumbass. pork pie isnt complete custom . you cant self build it . its custom made By THEM
kikirune 3 years ago
well by custom I know for a fact you can chose the finish the sizes and the mounting systems. The lugs i'm not so sure about them.
But that sounds preeeeet custom to me....dumbass
what1ever2guy3 3 years ago
i never said they werent custom idiot. i just said he was better off going for epiarch, sjc, or truth. wow learn to read
kikirune 3 years ago
...what did you mean by get a "real" custom set?
I thought you meant that pork pies werent custom.
wasnt really clear. thats all man :D
what1ever2guy3 3 years ago
i ment, like complete custom ,where as you choose everything from how many plys u want your wood, to choosing your lugs.
kikirune 3 years ago
you can do that with pork pie =/, they still allow you to choose tube lugs or whatever. and same with the amount of plies of your shells.

truth isnt that bad but ur right about epiarch. pork pie only has one lug option tho. what do u think about shine drums or dark horse drums or ocdp?
JMM629 3 years ago
truth drums dosnt suck, but they are alittle overpriced.
