Actually, Reed was the long-time weekend weatherman for WLKY. When the network switch happened in 1990, WLKY added noon and 5 PM newscasts. Wayne was switched to the new newscasts and Reed was brought in from weekends to do the 6 and 11 PM weather. Wayne Hart went to Evansville when his contract wasn't renewed. Reed Yadon got out of television a few years later, but as mentioned, has returned part-time (to WHAS)
yep. he started on the old WAKY radio and then became a weekend meteorologist on WLKY-TV. John Belski was the main meteorologist. When John left for WAVE, Reed became the main guy at WLKY but he left when Wayne Hart was hired to work full-time with the Archdiocese of Louisville, which is still his primary job I believe. He came back to WHAS-TV in the mid-90's as a part-time meteorologist. He is a great guy.
