the intro and the whole groove sound off key. maybe like a half step or a whole step off but the vocals rhodes and guitar are straight murder.

@gatoradeee I remember reading where they purposely drag just a tad behind the grove to get this particular sound. I love it!

@metavoice i'm not talking about time--i read that article too. i'm talking about the key. the groove is like a half step off that's why the intro sounds different in the beginning compared to album. try listening to the album version and playing it on a guitar or piano and do the same for this version.
