  • This song and BUFLA song have some words in common. These beautiful songs, though different bears the message of unity and love. All love song sounds pretty much same, "I love you"; all patriotic songs give same message, "I love my country"; all religious songs say, "Praise God and be thankful to Him".

  • Does any one know the title of this song?

  • Two Legend finally together , Great JOB -Thank you for your hard work

  • Melodious duet rippling with an uncanny energy...them iconic elderly ladies holding hands at the beginning is a turn off though.

I don't speak Bangla, but can grasp a few words here and there.

  • glad u liked it! the 2 of them holding hands has NO sexual connotation what so ever.

    It's about unity and peace!

In their youths they were professional rivals!

    The beginning stanza loosely translates:

"Your ways and my ways may be different

But we are of people of one earth

    We have only one life

So let's take this life to the zenith the realm of (mundane) love."

  • slight correction:

    The beginning stanza loosely translates:

"Your ways and my ways may be different,

You opinion may be different than mine,

But we are of people of one earth

    We have only one life

So let's take this life to the zenith the realm of (mundane) love."

  • Second Stanza:

"dreams - we will give to the eyes of children,

hope to the disenfranchised by standing by them"

    3rd stanza:

"My birth was in this soil; I love this country!

Million souls may be touched by this song"

"Your pleasure may be differant from mine,

And your bane/ sadness may be be the same as mine

But we're humans of the same earth

So let's take this life to the zenith - beyond the realm of (mundane) love"

  • One important thing to remember is the fact that these 2 leading ladies were rivals in the musical realm of Bangladeshi Music from the early 70s till mid/late 90s.

And after the win of the Noble Peace Prize by Dr. Yunus - bangladeshis wanted more than ever for a more just and equitable society.

  • oops... I left out one part where they say:

" your song may be different than mine..."

  • Ofcourse there's no sexual connotation, but air it on western media and they'd think of the obvious one.

  • I like this song so very much. Shame that Bangladeh's selfish politicians don't heed these words

  • very nice
