  • Thankyou for the videos, they were very helpful in understanding the book business. I'm planning to write a fictional series which will I guess be a mix between the Twilight series and the Narnia series. I'm about 25,000 words into the first book so far. What are your thoughts on TOR publishing instead of finding an agent?

  • As with all major publishers the problem is getting them to read something submitted directly by an author. And getting them to consider a partial from an unpublished, unproven author (if that's what you are) is damn near impossible. The best thing is to finish the book, go to a good writer's conference and make appointments to sit with agents and editors. Good luck.

  • Thanks your video gave me a great insight into what the publishing business is all about. Cheers from Ireland!

  • Amallon: Hope it did you some good. Where are you in Ireland? I spent the night in Gaol in Belfast a couple of years ago, until his Worship decided I was innocent. Love the country, non-the-less. Good luck. L. J.

  • Great you're writing. Being an expert is not a function of age, but rather experience. List your credits, or don't list them at all. In this day, when I'm asked by a friend to help them with a computer problem, but response is "don't you know a 12 year old!" Charge forward. I fought the audio on my TV submissions and still am...I'd buy your book. LJ
