i remember when this first show started i went to disneyland and we didnt know the parade was going and i was with my friends and the army guys started walking out and i ran into them and they challenged me to a pushup contest. and i'll never forget how one of them started screamin in my face with one of those megaphones saying when i say jump you say how hi, and i ran away screaming haha (: i wish they'd bring it back!

I just wanted to say the toy soldiers in California are far superior to their East Coast conterparts in Florida. It must be the Marine boot camp influence.

I still remember the only time I got to see this parade one of the cones lost its shoe. XD

The person in the cone stopped a little to try and get it but the parade was still moving so it had to leave the shoe...I think it was still there for about five minuets till a show stop or something when another CM picked it up.

Now they have a new parade at California Adventures called "Pixar Play Parade". It's incredible. I've seen it twice.

Hav u herd that by 2011 calidornia adventure will be all redone and heres the things there taking out...The golden gate bridge, the big huge meriols, sunshine plaza, and there changing the sunwheel into mickeys funwheel, and madness coaster will be goofy madness coaster, and there adding a CARS LAND and The lil mermaid Voyage, and there making the entrance look like a madern day mainstreet USA and there gonna hav street cars like in sanfranciso that go all over the park...theres alot more!!!

I love how the parades get the kids involved! It's so amazing! I remember seeing this parade the first time I went (I was 12 or 13 but now i'm 14). Too bad they still don't have it.

I still remeber that parade! :D 'Cept the one time I saw it my family and I were dead tired from walking around and a pushy green army man tired to make us get off the bench we were sitting on while we were waiting for it to pass.

That and also one of the cones lost a shoe! XD The person in it tried to stop and get it back but it had to move since it couldn't just stay there to get back on the shoe, don't know if the cone got it back though...

wow, That's some really old footage, huh?

i mean, Not only is it gone now, but you actually have footage of the green/Bugs Land party zone, which only lasted like the first year.

Thanks for sharing! (even though the bugs section is missing and everything else after the huge finale...)

Yes, Block Party Bash is now at Hollywood Studios and we Floridians love it!! GREAT job taping the parade at DCA! I love how you got great shots of The Incredibles--they give the parade its DRAMA!
