  • Nederland, Colorado is not too far from Denver! I like your interesting video! Did you know there was a recording studio called the Caribou Ranch? But, all in all, you do have an interesting video with good points! Hope you make the next step in your adult evolution! Happy holidays and did you do some holiday shopping?

  • @kjchicago1 you should come check it out! I do know about Caribou Ranch, lots of legends in this old town. Thank you for the encouragement! I didn't holiday shop, mostly because I never celebrate holidays in a conventional way.. and I like to give gifts often and not for any reason but inspiration. But hey if you need some goods, come on up here, check out the town, get a lil sumptin sumptin in the art department and say HI!

  • @trippingdazee Thank you, Even though I live in Chicago, Illinois! Have you been to Chicago, Illinois before?

  • @kjchicago1 Also, Chicago(the band not the city)recorded a song in 1976 called "If You Leave Me Now" at the Caribou Ranch(I saw the info on the record label-Columbia Records)and they got their start as "The Big Thing" and later became the "Chicago Transit Authority"(the band, not the bus in Chicago)when the real Chicago Transit Authority started to take legal action and the band changed its name to Chicago

  • @kjchicago1 Nope, never been.. I mistook you knowing it was near Denver, to mean you were in Denver.. my bad. Anyway, Yeah how did you get familiar with Caribou Ranch?

  • @trippingdazee The reason I heard about it is because two of my favorite music groups record studio LPs(or albums)there! Chicago & Earth, Wind & Fire and several other people recorded songs there as well! The two albums the EWF recorded were "Open Our Eyes"(1974) & the grammy award-winning "That's The Way Of The World"(1975)I first heard about the Caribou Ranch recording studio thru EWF's 1974 LP Sleeve of "Open Our Eyes" and that's how I learned! BTW, I was born in Chicago in 1961!

  • @kjchicago1 I had no idea, and now that I do, I am gonna win some hard kore trivia!

  • Excellent comment there about jumping on other peoples dream train.

Best of luck with the endeavour, I'm sure you can make it happen, I think it could take off in any town. There might be some local funding available where you're thinking of doing this, there is in the uk. Financial cuts are all over the news here these days but I was at our local volunteer centre yesterday and there were all sorts of leaflets about funding opportunities if you have a good idea for the local community.
