When I was 10 and all my friends were rocking out to BTO & Deep Purple, my sister's boyfriend gave her the Live Dates album which I fell in love with. Hearing this brought back some wonderful memories and teary eyes.
I spent hours and hours listening to this album (Argus) when I was 14. Did my homework to it. That and Pilgrimage and Wishbone Ash albums. Still have the vinyls and listen occasionally when I want a soul and heart boost........'cos that is what it still does for me. Fills me with bliss. Soaring and powerful. Ohhh man. Martin Turner and Steve Upton interviewed Andy and Ted to join 'a' band they were forming. (It's true that the name was chosen between them all though.)
I make that as MT and SU as founding members - at least the germ of the band.

@TheMentulls WRONG - Martin Turner (bass) and Steve Upton (drums) 'interviewed' both Andy Powell and ted Turner, couldn't decide between them so they both joined. If you'retalking about being in the first incarnation then correct - nut NOT a founding member.
Andy is still the man but needs Martin Ted and Steve, maybe Laurie.

Without AP and TT there wouldnt have been a Wishbone Ash (the definitive sound we've come to know probably wouldn't have came about, for example)
