Actually not too bad. You wear undergarments, similar to a one piece snowmobile suit, but lighter to accommodate compression. So other than your face which is heavily capillaried, the feet usually go first. In 34 degree water usually can get almost half hour out of the dive.
@diversnetwork Heavily-capillaried would mean that heat would be pulled out of your body more quickly, as more blood would be moving near the surface of the skin, and therefore more of it would be in indirect contact with the air that's drawing heat away. Am I right? If so, your face must get freezing.
By the way, I lived in St. Clair for a year. I LOVE that town. Best part of Michigan. Do you live there?
great job, and thanks for making us smile out here in CO. Nothing like walking through snow to get to the dive site and a bit of ice on the surface! Nice collections too. Real divers are Michigan divers!
Hey great video! I'm from st. clair too! I always wondered if anyone has ever tried diving into the river, and now i can see what its like! By the way what is the name of the first song? I really like!
How cold do you get in one of those cold-water suits?

Hi and thanks. There is a lot down there to see and find.
The first song is called "Fans" by Kings Of Leon from the "Because of The Times" CD.
