  • nunca vi ninguém tocar com tanto divertimento e descompromisso... lindo demais... você faz parecer fácil e divertido... show!!!!

  • Saw him do this live as a part of International Guitar Night in Savannah, Ga. AWESOME!

  • Great piece of guitar playing - but what is the piece called and who is it by?

  • 2:30, what was that?

  • @steitisch gives the guitar a whammy bar effect by slightly moving the neck.

  • Your right it's fake. We slowed it down!

  • @OGieru Genuinely not fake... I've seen him play this live!

  • @CRMolyneaux Me too, he's incredible!

  • Me too. I saw him tonight at High Barn in Essex. He uses his loop pedal, explains how it works, and just does it. An exceptional guitarist and performer. I'd love to hear him play Django's Tiger. I'm sure he could set up the rhythm on his loop pedal and play over it. Clive, if you read this, thanks for a great time tonight, and maybe think about Django's Tiger???

  • brilliant technique- everso slightly marred by silly ending

  • what guitar is this clives using?

  • @aligman07 It's a Levin Martin

  • @celebagents1056 Is it not his trusty Ralph Bown guitar?

  • @aligman07 - But it's being retired after Clive's next gig in Germany(?). It's developed cracks in the back so has to go. I'd be happy to take it off his hands!

  • @aligman07 actually, it's a Ralph Bown guitar, handmade in England. I played it a short while ago when Clive came to Ireland for the Inishowen Guitar Festival - it's an Amazing guitar.

  • @aligman07 "Ralph Bown" guitar, i promise you. Seen him live.

  • It was fun watching and listening to this!

    very intricate!

    !!Mad Props!!

  • haha he sounded totally insane at the end... in a good way

  • went to one of his gigs a couple of weeks ago, played this song and he was hilarious!!!!!! and WHAT a talent, front row seats!!!

  • Just burned my guitar-:)

    Cheers

    Finnjackie

  • fucking amazing clive. not only does he impress, he cracks me up!!

  • what kind of system is he using to get the looping?? so cool

  • Saw him a couple of nights ago. It's a Boss RC-20. They're wicked aren't they? Least, they are if Clive's using one.

  • thanks man.. I am so getting one of them. i could play for hours with one of them .. non stop fun!! I wonder why he doesn't have an RC-50. they're bigger, have more memory, longer backing tracks and you can save more on them.. at least i think so anyway... what about the Line 6 JM4 looper.. John Mayer uses one i think??? someone feel free to tell me what's better!!

  • @DocSixString No worries mate. To answer your question, I would think it's one of necessity. From what I have seen of Clive's use of this thing, he basically just uses it to back himself up on things which are impossible to play on one guitar (and by that I mean impossible for Clive, which it seems is practically nothing). Therefore he may not need the extras on the 50, and they are quite bulky. The Line 6 is pretty old now, no? That's what I would think is the case.

  • @yaisum cheers mate. you provided some useful insight there. I'll just have to test them all.... i can only dream... :)

  • Love it! Great finger work. He's so enjoying it. Bravo...deb

  • Success is just luck!........ Ask any failure. Your obviously a failure.

  • @celebagents1056 im guitar techer and play both flamenco and classik guitar, me jalus at you haha my students who has play 6 month play better then you hehe

  • @abby161919 i had one lesson iwht him, and he was amazing. It was this workshop that we did at my school, but he spent 10 minutes or so with me, and he was a fantastic teacher, as well as being an excellent preformer.

  • @deathisescape but he cant play god is he teacer? hehe

  • @abby161919 I'm not gonna get inot an internet argument. I dont like them. I would be more sympathetic to you though if you had an opion, rather than just slandering him, unless you mean it ironically, wich is very post-modern and intelligent of you.

  • @deathisescape you must practise a lot more!!

  • @abby161919 so you can beat that?

  • 快笑死我了~~bravo!

  • 1:42 haha

  • this is great, and what makes it better is the obvious enjoyment

  • hey Clive...absolutely faaan-tas-tic performance - but you knew that, right? Just one little thing, though , mate...Speak INTO the mike!

  • Nice job!

  • ok, fair enough - i would like to see it played well then, any links?

  • Temur Kvitelashvili - Chardash 2006

Just copy it and paste in youtube search.. He plays it phenomenally

  • The frightening thing is, this isnt even one of his really complex performances, ive seen him a number of times and been to workshops. He is a phenomanal guitarist and musician.....plus a nice bloke!!

  • i love how much fun he has playing... funny

  • AWESOMENESS!!!

  • holy shit

  • this guy is mental, the stuff he is doing is plain crazy, he is supposed to stick his tongue out at us while playing because I think I can never reach that level after my long guitar years....he brought it close to the violin piece however, and that is like one great shot. cheers

  • Can i have the tab please?

  • and mistakes in timing matters...how?

  • He plays good. Interesting type of technique, different style hehe. Funky and all, but there were a few parts I got thrown off on. Try the version of Paco de Lucia =) with the beginning and all.... not many have... and the fingerpicking, that's the hard part (the fast part). A good run, maybe not 100% perfect ('think I was able to hear a few mistakes, maybe bad timing, not sure), but i liked it!

    funny

  • AMAZIIINGGG!!!!!!!

  • Wow... both amazing and humourous, I can't believe I've only just discovered Clive Carroll, a fellow Brit! This is great, great stuff, Bravo!

  • This is just fantastic, not only I love the guitar playing but he makes me laugh too. What can I ask for more. Thanks for posting and happy new year!

  • Simplesmente destói o violão naudo evoluido!!!

  • Awesome, I love it. I've seen Clive play this a couple of times live.

Once to a lecture hall full of guitar teachers. There were some jaws dropping that day.

    Nice one Clive.

    Max

  • timing is bad

  • To be fair the only bad timing is your comment so close to Xmas lol. Do you have any video's up on You Tube? I'd love to see them. :) Merry Xmas

  • i have some videos...

    thanks and merry christmas ;)

  • I have looked at your video's they are awesome ;)

  • @ElChucru you are out of your mind

  • One of my favourites. Fantastic!

  • Wow!!

That was the most amazing guitar interpretation of Csardas I ever heared.

Thank you so much for the experience.

  • Now i think CC the best guitarist in the world.

  • Clive is in a different league altogether to the often sited TE. He doesn't have a coke habit, either. Rock on CC!

  • They are both fantastic musicians, both are at such a high level and have their own brilliant things about them that is hard to say one of them is better.

As far as I know Tommy hasn't been into coke since the 80's. He became a born again Christian in the process of stopping his habit.

  • Interesting about Tommy being born again. I didn't know that. You are right that it is almost impossible to compare guitarists fairly. All I would say is that having done week long guitar courses with Clive, and seen him play not only 'his' material, but also muck around just for fun, I think he can cover tommy's material just as well as TE, and then display astounding virtuosity and musicality ( a rare combined feat) with pretty much any other style. It's all opinion though isn't it?

  • Nice one, must have been a great experience being with Clive for a week!

I'd like to get a hold of some of Clive's albums. Any recommendations?

Yeah, Tommy doesn't stick the fact down your throat like a lot of born agains seem to do. I found out about it after nearly a year of listening to the man!

Tommy is also a very versatile guitarist, like Clive, would be great to see the two of them play a gig together. Seeing Tommy again on the 24th though. :)

  • Never ceases to amaze me!!!!!

  • Jaw-dropping...

  • the english Tommy Emmanuel!!

or is TE the Australian Clive Carroll?

only discovered this guy now and i have to say he's fantastic. great charisma and personality like Tommy. it's great to see decent people getting places with such great talent

  • Why does this have nothing to do with Czardas?

  • hey your guitarr fumes!

  • WOW.......

  • I saw Clive live a while back, and he just SMOKES! His set was half an hour of pure acoustic bliss, and not one person left that room at intermission without a grin from ear to ear. An English Tommy Emmanuel both in terms of chops and entertainment. And a genuinely nice guy to boot!

  • I must say I never heard of him before, but now he will be one of my fave guitar players! funny guy! :) thx for posting!

  • TE would play it without loop, even sounding better. LOL :D
