Tricky's great..most of the stuff on the first albums I know came out of Akai S-1000's and apparently he realy liked always pitching down samples. I read some where he still uses these to this day

I saw Tricky live once and found his concert to be an amazing, powerful experience. At first, when the band appeared, I thought, "What? No turntables? How are they going to recreate the intensity of the albums?"

By the time the concert got underway, it was apparent to all that we were in the midst of a legendary, formidable performance and an extraordinary artist.
