No man. Sorry if I came off that way. I don't have anything against Red Wings fans as a whole. I actually am a fan of Detroit myself. Except if they are playing Pittsburgh of course. However I don't like that many opposing fans have come up with theories about the refs favoring Pittsburgh all year. I just think that's a little outlandish. And if you watch ever series on a whole, the games have been called pretty evenly. I also expect the winning fans to show class even if others are not.

Well, for trophies such as the Richard, it is just regular season. But playoff performance can influence such as the Lady Byng, being that it's not based on stats but performance. I was really just joking, Datsyuk displays the best sportsmanship I have ever seen (save this little beating :P)

Yeah, I used to live in Pittsburgh, before they drafted all their talent. Now that they are a decent team, everyone in Pittsburgh is a fan. I can guarantee most of the 'new' Penguins fans don't even know who Mario Lemieux is.

Roberts is just about the only Pens player I truly thought played without class. I'm a Sid hater, but he isn't a dirty player, nor is anyone else on the team. I got sick and tired of Therrian's whining, however. He needs to grow a pair.
I hated the cheapshots at Franzen during the game, that was as trashy as it gets, but it wasn't really a team effort.

He got roped into a one-sentence complaint before game 6, yes. He didn't, however, start on mini-rants after each game, he handled the BS no-goal in game one perfectly in the post-game presser. If that was the other way around, you bet your ass Michelle would have been on the soap box.

thats the only time he's ever done that and he had a reason to. first of all i think everyone agrees that the refs calls were horrible both ways. and if the pens were diving all over the ice like osgood was, i bet you would hear more complaints. and im glad we signed therrian for 3 more years. he's the best coach weve had next to badger bob. he pulled this team from last place to stanley cup finals in only 2 years.

Where the hell is this coming from? I have congratulated the Red Wings from day one for a great season and series. I'm not looking for "classy" fans on youtube. I was responding to someone who said that the Pitt fans were booing Henrik, when they were actually booing Bettman.
I think most Detroit fans do have class just like the players do, but I feel the same about the Pens and our fans.

Both teams definately have their fair share of class and quiet a lot of basketcases as well. I'm a diehard Wings fan as long as I live but the Pens had one of their best seasons that they've had in a long time so Congrats! You pens fans have a lot of class but just like any other town you have some fans like the Boston fan that punched Steve Yzerman 10 to 15 years ago.

Pens have no class...the dirty punches and elbows to the heads of players...clearly intent to hurt... taking runs at players, to the point where when they miss they hurt themselves, their fans have no class for booo'ing the Cup, Zetterberg, and the Stanley Cup Champs. Who said most of the fans stuck around? watch the video again, most of the seats were emptied after they Booo'd Zetterberg. Detroit clearly the classy team. Detroit fans the classier here! First of all, they weren't all "booo'ing" (if that's how you spell it). And I'm pretty sure the ones that did, did so, b/c they thought Ozzie would get the mvp.
Second, even the announcers were suprised at how many of the fans stuck around to see the ceremony, and commented on how classy that was.
You can have your name, "Hockeytown," but stop acting high and mighty about it.

There was only one player that was throwing cheapshots for the Pens and that was Gary Roberts. I hate that SOB but that gives you no right to accuse an entire hockey team of playing like goons. The fans were booing at Bettman.

Datsyuk connected with a good one before the ref's got to Roberts. But it IS a bunch of bullsh*t when a ref picks one player to tie up. If he cant get inbetween the two then just let them go at it.
As for Sykora, he put his shoulder into Osgood because he was frustrated, but Ozzie definately flopped it for all it was worth.

I believe Sykora tried to knock into Osgood, you can tell with his elbow. I do think Osgood sold it though!

No man. Sorry if I came off that way. I don't have anything against Red Wings fans as a whole. I actually am a fan of Detroit myself. Except if they are playing Pittsburgh of course. However I don't like that many opposing fans have come up with theories about the refs favoring Pittsburgh all year. I just think that's a little outlandish. And if you watch ever series on a whole, the games have been called pretty evenly. I also expect the winning fans to show class even if others are not.

There are alot new fans in my city, but as a player who wants to see this sport bigger in my country, I will not complain about people just beginning to watch, even if it was to see Sid or Malkin, or whatever.

He DID have three points though, all in the last two games. I give Crosby credit, he got matched hard with the best defense in the league, and he still created chances. Malkin had detroits second and third lines and even when nobody was on him, he didnt do ANYthing. That had to be frustrating for you diehard pens fans. Theyll be back next year though.

Yeah, Ive followed Datsyuk since after the lockout hardcore, and i've never seen him do that. As Yzerman did, you have to show the league that you aren't afraid to throw punches.
Did you notice how Datsyuk was almost completely left alone after that scuffle for the rest of the series? Plus, he and Hank are the most elusive players ive ever seen. Guys line them up and end up getting half or the glass cause they're just so good at avoiding checks. Great Season, they earned the cup this year.
