  • awesome, but simple..............?????????????

  • It rocks! :D

  • i may burst into tears if this is simple xD to be honest i just started playing the harmonica... but still...simple?! guess i'll head back to my practise until i can get that right! :D

  • @Datte1989 I'm right there with you man, I ain't that good either.

  • @AwesomeIsNoah lol same

  • Hi everybody, in my mind this riff comes from John Mayals Room to Move from 70, Originally it is played with F harp and easier to play with higher harp than C. I have just put my own version on this to YouTube. This jjmilteau here is very good, but You may be interested to hear my version also. You will find it writing to search engine marttisaarelma I think (links are not allowed in comments I suppose). I'd like that you comment on it, I only have few viewers. So have a look.

  • could do better to explain the tabs tho, a novice would struggle with the tab

  • tabs are not to helpful the way u wrote them if u could make a remake and put the tabs in a more simpler way. I was messing around and started playing it and when i got to the vid i couldnt play it lol but by myself i got kinda close.

  • is that the room to move song

  • I have one question about the tab:

in the first part are you supposed to play:

This is how i read the tab:

    -2 -2 -2" -1 -2 -2 -2 -2" -1 -2 -2 -2" -1 -2

But i think this sounds more correct:

    -2 -2 -2" +1 -2 -2 -2 -2" +1 -2 -2 -2" +1 -2

    Wich of them are right?

I'm a little confused about the tabs...

But GREAT riff sound damn good!

  • This is Room to Move isnt it? my dad loves that song! i can play it a bit, but not as good as you.

  • Hi... sorry I'm a benginner in harmonica... wen you write -222 you mean -2 -2 -2 or -2 +2 +2 (breath in, in, in ore in, out, out) :) thanks

  • Simply badd ass i carry this on my back !

  • @ jjmilteau

You're awesome man! Watching all of your videos!

  • sorry, i have a question: What do you do at 00:29 min?

    thanks^^

  • intense eyes man

  • Your confusing, dude. You sound great, but not much good on the "teachin' detail"

  • tabs doesn't make sense to me 2 draw 2 blow and 2 bent to start. Is that right.

or are all the 2's draw notes

  • tabs doesn't make sense to me 2 draw 2 blow and 2 bent to start. Is that right.

  • show me how to play mountain of love harmonica solo version. By Johnny Rivers

  • Are you doing some double notes? cause the amount of tabs written down are not the same amounts of notes I'm hearing

  • That is amazing im so going to put time into learning this one

  • good move mann!!

  • Great riff. You could post The notes You are playing. It would be great for learning.

  • For the life of me I cannot get that second note on my c harp...I draw and it sounds like what you are playing but after that the note is different for me. Can you assist?

  • @REVKOEHLER try moving your tounge around your mouth when you do 2 draw, i had the same problem, and when i draw on 2 i have to roll the tip of my tounge to get it :)

  • reaaally liked it man...congrats!!!

  • Why you move your hand?

  • @lolbartek00097 Moving the air behind the harp induces different sounds, from heavy vibrato to slight chorus effect

  • There's no tabs showing when I view this on iPad but there is when viewed on a laptop.

  • i think my harp is broken...it doesnt sound anything like yours

  • sounds like a birdie.

  • creepy video. Are you a vampire? -good harmonica

  • Great, when I listen this i thought about Sonny Boy Williamson's II "One Way Out" and "Room To move" By John Mayall :D great tune mr. Milteau!

  • ☆ Awesome.☆

☆ Thank you very much .☆

  • - : draw

    + : blow

    '' : bend 1 tone

    4 : hole

freeze the vid to read the tab better

  • @jjmilteau how to bend note?

  • @Tenebroso92 Change the storm of air in your mouth

  • @jjmilteau " what is bend 1 tone, how do you do that?

  • @xXxAr7ur0xXx draw on a hole to make the note, changethe shape of your mouth and tongue is mend tobend the note downward on the ssame hole. hole 1 can bend down an extra 1 note, hole 2 can bend down an extra 2 notes, hole 3 can bend down an extra 3 notes. Do a seach on harmonica bending. Having said that, I'm still dtruggleing with bending. I even went out and bought a Hohner Marine Band harmonica and still am struggling.

  • @xXxAr7ur0xXx go learn the basics in an other video maybe and then come back here...bending is one of the basics in harmon world :)

  • im not very experienced and i dont know how to read those tabs, could you help me out. it sounds tight!

  • thanks for the tabs

  • Soo... where's the simple riff? x.x

  • Hello JJ,

sounds simple. It sounds like tongue blocking. So far I understand your lessons up to now you want to give us some "sounds" and we have to try by ourself until we are able to play the way you do. You are a real artist.

However, some small tips would reduce the time to imitate your riffs. Bought your first book and hope to find more there.

Thanks for all of your ideas to teach us "lazy bones" some tricks. For you it was much more difficult to learn and imitate as for us today.

  • Amazing as always JJ, surpev.

That riff sounds very, very, VERY, similar to Jefferson Goncalves style, being more specific in the theme Mellow Down Easy, and again thank you very much JJ!
