Went on this bad boy when i worked at ruislip contracting, back then it was called the sandite train and was in its original grey and graffiti covered paint job!

Good to see that at least some of the '62 stock is still in operation.

If I'm being pedantic here, though, the third car in this train (9125, not 9152 as suggested by the sheets of paper attached to the windows) is of '59 stock.

Sorry but what is a rail adhesion train?

@Martello736  It spreads a "sandy" mixture on the rails when they are covered in compressed wet leaves, to stop wheelspin.

Not rare at all, it is in use every winter ! Has been for years, and will be for many more !

Why they Central line back reused for Rail Adhesion Train? Strange I heard it about that before? It was Last Central line has gone scrapped. They want restore bit to use them again!
