@blackroses11199 contact them on the website, send them an audition video, send you email...those things....i have a contact from CDS send me a message, i ask her how to do this audition
she's probably been doing that since right after she figured out how to walk. amazing and crazy how she just smiles and makes it look so easy. thanks for sharing.
I've been doing contortion for 12 yrs now, and i'm also a gymnast. Many of my fellow gymnasts cannot do anything near of what I can achieve. My doctor said to me that contortion is genetic. He also said that even though people can learn contortion, they will suffer in an older age.
My back bones are spaced apart more than other peoples and my doctor said my ligaments are more elastic do to part of my collagen.
it hurts their bodies to stretch them more than theyre supposed to. they practise all the time to not cause any serious damage but when they are old, theyre going to feel it.
Because of their training their vertebrae space out more. The thing in between (can't remember the name) has been proven to be thicker and stronger than with other people. Strange to think something that looks like it promotes artrosis is the best thing against it.
No they won't when they are older they just have to constantly work out because there muscles start to decay because basically there like a human puddle any contortionist could tell you that they donn't feel it and it doesn't hurt most of the contortionist feel nothing while training... because it is unnatural for it to hurt
rhythmic gymnasts have the flexibility but many times lack strength, which is specially necesary for the one handed handstands and also lift up from a backbend.
Many Rhythmic Gymnasts have superior flexibility to this, espeically in the hips and legs... but as the previous comment said, the majority do not focus on controlling the hand balance or develop the upper body strength/balance displayed by a mongolian body artist.
They have the ABILITY to develop it, but most dont because the focus of Rhythmic is more on the lower body and hand to eye coordination than isolated hand balances
avatrix369, it takes years of practice to become this flexible and strong, training for contortion usually starts off at a fairly young age (mainly before the age of ten).
It doesn't necesarrily take years. At least in my case it took less then six months and look were I am. It depends on how seriously you take the training, I dedicate 1 - 2 hours everday.
i haven't seen the other girls but do u know many years of practice it takes to get this good? of course i can't even do the splits or a backflip but still this is amazing

agu3contort 4 years ago
to get as good as she is, yes, it does take years. you don't get perfect technique in handbalancing in 6 months. sorry.
you may have natural flexibility, but to control it well enough to have an act as flawless as hers takes so much dedication.

you are never too old to learn! if you practice every day you will get limber! But that is the crucial part, every day! you will improve more then!
