Your rhythm programming could definitely use some work. The oscillated stuff at 1:30 is not to my liking and coincidentally, something I first started with when I started using FL, Reason, etc. ~10 years ago.
For a first song though, it's impressive to hear solid trance fundamentals right away.
Way too compressed it seems man, and like digitalapparition said, don't use presets. Reason is feature and plug in rich, use it to it's fullest, but nice try nonetheless.
I think that with a firmer grasp on mastering that you could make some really good music, also I wouldn't use so many presets. A really good skill to learn also is sidechaining, especially for house and trance. All in all this a good first try, keep up the good work.
Reason is really great. You just know what you're doing. You can do every sound you found out in songs. FL is just for 14 years old kids that think they are good in making music, it's most likely as E-Jay. Good luck to get a job when you say that you're working with FL
FL is for people who don't know what they're doing. The Prodigy's entire last album (Always Outnumbered Never Outgunned) was done in Reason, and it sounds pretty "realistic" to me.
only you buy the vst or the vsti ones, then they only sounds realistic. the ones vst or the vsti that are freeware, they sounds kind of fake. but somtimes only you injust sounds right wahtever.
I don't think what you're saying is true. Howlett wrote it in Reason, but then he rerecorded some synths and stuff in ProTools(I think, don't remember..), so..:)
Also, I know many who does professional music with Fruity - apart from my friends - ex. Breakfast - The Sunlight, massive trance classic, was done in Fruity.. And I think they know what they're doing..
And don't get me wrong. I compose in pure Reason4 and I don't use Fruity, but what you're saying.. that's rubbish :)))
Nice ideas.. though this deserves a more "spacey" beat.. like more echoes and reverbs on the basses, and the epic FX and stuff .. if you know what I mean..
lol this really sucks, no offense..but thats how you get better at it...keep trying!

Ignorant idiot! Mike Oldfield uses FL Studio and he's a pro in electronic music.
BTW you can use Reason as a plugin in FL Studio like I do.
Biochips1 2 years ago
Are you really that fucking stupid? It does NOT depend on the software sequencer, it depends on the VSTs and plugins you use.

it sounds great but i think you should take out the dr.rex drums and make some yourself wuth a redrum, it would be mch more rythmic.

Not bad, needs leadins and make it shorter, It gets a bit boring about 4 mins in.
Rx7 guy has a good remark.

Nice it would be kick ass with a crazy fast basline high lead climax within and its over rave mania.

This is my first try with Reason 4. This video shows Reason running. I did this track by recording automations in the mixer.
Give me your comments. Thanks!
