@7devinsalb You can upload your iTune music collection onto Amazon Cloud, so that you can get your itune music on the go when there is wifi. So does that you can got Google Music on to your kindle fire and upload your itune music collection onto Google Music Cloud. Same thing as long as you can access internet you can get your music from the Cloud. As Kindle Fire only has 8 GB and 5 GB storage for media file, you have to depend it on the Cloud for your media file.

People keep whining about.. oh it doesn't have a camera ..no 3g ..can't expand memory ..screen is too small yada yada yet no one complained when ipad1 was unveiled. no camera either, best selling model was the wifi only model. yeah the screen is bigger & double the memory but for more than 2X the price. don't tell me it has all awesome apps. amazon got 18M plus android apps. oops before i forgot, i have an ipad2 & i wouldn't hesitate to buy Fire. thank you for your attention. love competition.

@shampoomomo No word processor. However, IMO the app Evernote works just as well as a word processor. You can write, edit text, add photos and so much more. You can also access those files on another Android or iOS device and computer as they sync automatically. And of course you can print.

To everyone who is "stunned" they didnt ship it with a micro usb cable. Its not a surprise. They dont want you side loading, they want you using amazon app store. They dont want you transferring music, they want you using Amazon Music Cloud. Loading videos fuck that you Amazon Prime Video streaming. The more ways the can get you to use their service the better. The more time you spend using an Amazon store the better it is for them. Dont underestimate peoples laziness to get a cable on their own
