E39 is the best series ever, the older were to square and the newer are like bubbles E39 has the perfect combo of edge and curve. Mines same as in 2:16 but silver slamed with kings super lows riding on 19" E60 M5 factory rims with slim line tyers.

Went into Sydney European Classics to look at a trick 525 and just feel in love with 2001 model 530i just sitting at end of dealership crammed in amongst a few x5s. Did not even go for test drive this was love at first site.

I am sure that you can make your automatic a manual transmission , but you might be better of saving money and supercharging your automatic.

well which kind of engine are you going to take? but if yo buy m5 then you shouldnt buy it unless if you have driving experience with backwheel, it is a dangerous car if it has too much horsepower...but bmw 5 serie is a great car

Not really dangerous. They have stability control and traction control for regular driving. Do a few proper advanced driving courses and enjoy the perfect balance that BMWs have to offer (with the DSC off)...

It is an expensive car to maintain, also very hard to drive, as a first car.

It is quite a lot more difficult to control it on a wet or snow surface there are also different techniques u use in a RWD. IMO this is a great car but nor for a novice, also if you care about money you spend on it. I suggest buying FWD car and less powerful engine.

looks alot like standard with the steering wheel but they have chagned the stereo and its automat and have changed so you can have an ipod in the center console :P and a cd chenger under the compartment on the passenger side :P but to me it look like the rest is stock leather and all that stuff

The e39 is a monster born to kill disguised as a refined, precise, sophisticated family sedan. Chris Bangle (BMW Group Chief of Design) may have influenced most automakers with his "flame-surfacing" style, but I will always prefer the e39. Thankfully he quit in February and was replaced. The next 5-series should improve cosmetically.
