  • Finally made the most beautiful set of rolls the other day :)))) I was soooo proud of my hair all day!!!

  • one person disliked this.....lets victory roll them

  • Ahh you make it looks so easy! My rolls always end up looking hollow! Wtf. It's annoying. Im gonna keep trying. lol by the way did you make your hair rat or buy it?

  • Classic way to get a super cheap rat:

Collect the hair strands from your brushes at home! They'll always match your specific color, and you'll be styling like women did in those good ol' days!! :)

You may consider a beautiful, compact "rat trap" for your vanity. Look in vintage hot spots.

  • i love your victory rolls tutorial! youre soo lovely ..what tattoo do u have on your arm, love if u don't mind me asking? :)

  • @18valval It's a pin up girl inspired by a Elvgren painting - but I had her sit in a cupcake. ^^ If you go to my Facebook you can see a detailed picture. :)

  • Is it easier to do rolls on freshly washed hair or the day after?

  • @SaJolieFille Day after. (Or pre styled hair) The natural oils in your hair gives better hold and the hair is more pliable to styling.

  • anyone wanting to buy your own hair rat; save your money. You can make your own :) Just take pantyhose and cut them any length you want. Tear up cotton balls and fill the stocking and arrange to any length you want. tie in a knot to secure :) Viola! You have your very own rat

  • @needlel0ver Word!

  • @needlel0ver Thank you! I am defiantly going make those soon.

  • @needlel0ver thanks

  • Just lovely. I've been trying victory rolls out but can never get them right. Practice makes perfect I suppose. What kinda lipstick are you wearing?! I absolutely love the color, but haven't been able to find one like it around. :(

  • @poopsex12 I think this is called sin noir, from Julie Hewett cosmetics.

  • I've never tried this Hairstyle before, but I thing I'm going to use Victory Rolls quite often from now on. This is beautiful.

  • Beautiful !! : )

  • where do you buy a hair rat?

  • so easy to do. I got it straight away!! thankyou! Now gonna browse at your other vids. You have fabulous hair! xx

  • Hey there! :) Might I ask where you get your vintage music?

  • Wow u have mad skill rolling your hair up so well in just a few tries. I spend forever on this and usually have to use an iron to get it going in the right direction! Thanks for the vid, it helped me out a lot!

  • omg I love the flower could u let me know where u got it tks

  • Do you use any holding product to curl your hair? In other words, do you use mouse, gel, pomade, or anything else?

  • where could i buy a hair rat??

  • I love the lip colour!

  • What's the music in the vid?

  • (Hairdresser Australia) You are so talented I get heaps of women asking me how can I do my own hair at home I should tell them about your videos keep up the good work awesome!

  • This is AWESOME. I can't believe I didn't find you sooner. In terms of preparing the hair - is "second-day hair" plus pomade the only thing you use? My hair is very fine and I am having a rough time getting the hair to roll at all without falling out all over the place :( Any advice?

  • LOVE IT!!!!!!!

  • thanks im doin VICTORY ROLLS for my birthday and this video really helped!

  • Thankyou so much for this video!

  • THankyou so much for this video!

  • How on earth do you get the roll to go so neat at the beginning? i just don't get how you even begin to roll it up. I've tried everything and it doesn't work. I can't get the neat little loop you have in any way shape or form. Completely impossible.

  • You are soo cute!

  • You're gorgeous and the video is great!!

  • Your gorgeous!!

  • after so many tries and replaying your videos over and over again , iv'e finally got this hairstyle right ..Thank you sooo much ! =)

  • This totally worked for me!! I love ittttt :D

  • This is the BEST victory rolls video I've seen - you do a great job, and keep to the essentials. Thanks so much for making this!

  • omg!! i love this hairdo but my hair is up to my waist...do u think this look is do-able???

  • @elvisrocs88 It is do-able on longer hair. I've seen girls pull it off. Try looking up ilovegerardo. She has really long hair and completes these pin up looks.

  • @piratesavvy07 thanks hun!!!

  • LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE IT!

  • Ok. I have SUPER thick hair and I really want to do a good victory roll. I can get it to look "OK" from the front but how is it suppose to look from the back? Cause I'm pretty sure its not suppose to look like a mess of bobby pins like mine ends up looking like but I just cant figure out how to pin inside the roll from the back end without messing the whole thing up. Sorry I'm such a noob at retro styles :Z

  • where do you get hair rats from????

  • how u keep ur colour blonde hair strong like that, mine after get colour get split, and cut very short!

  • I Have A Question And I Hope You Can Reply Back.. Does Your Hair Have To Be In A Straight Cut Only To Do This Hair Style? Or Can It Be Layered Too?

  • that look gorgeous!! I'll give it a shot :D

  • i love your videos, you're great! thanks for the help!

  • wow. that is so cute! Thanks for posting, i may try that sometime.

  • very nice i love your video fan fan thancks so much sorry my english is very bad ^^ more videos

  • Love it ;)

  • way cute!

  • So you just arent supposed to have hollow rolls? I've been doing it all wrong :[

    Whats a Hair rat?

  • @InuSasha99 Hollow as in, you're not supposed to see through them from one end to another :) - A hair rat is something you roll your hair around, and it helps with making rolls. In this video I used it for the roll made out of the hair in the back

  • where do you get your flower pins i love them.

  • @starr0908child I get most of them from Belle Blossoms. This one is really old though, probably H&M

  • @ClassicRetroGlamour thank you so much. i love your videos you do such a great job!

  • @starr0908child I get mine at the dollar store or make them!!They are SUPER easy!!!

  • Sweet! I'll be trying that later on. I need to go buy a hair rat and a flower. I love that look. Thanks for your help :D

  • Love it, love it, love it!

Question: Is there a way to create Victory Rolls using a hair rat? I have thin hair, and the rolls just do NOT hold.

  • @fal00la If you use a hair rat you just roll the hair around it and pin it... :) I don't think thin hair should make it impossible to make victory rolls w/out a rat. Tease the hair to make it appear thicker and hairspray the hair that will be inside the roll afterwards. Wait until it dries a little or else the teasing will be for nothing.. I have fine hair, and bobbypins can slip and slide easily, but hairspraying where I pin and teasing, helps. Just takes more practice because of the hairtype:)

  • you are just so darn pretty. and have the cutest tops.

    where do you shop??

  • @misshoneymoon1 Haha, I shop the sales lady! also I like to sew and be creative that way. I almost always add and an extra little personal touch to the clothes I buy.. :) Like adding fabric to skirtlengths etc..

  • @ClassicRetroGlamour That is such a great idea..i don't even know why i didn't think of that lol. Thank you for the idea...and the lovely videos. Cheers

  • thanks so much for this it was easy to follow, p.s i have the same bed ! ahah

  • @Sukikane Haha, cool. Gotta love Ikea..

  • I tryed to do the victory rolls, i fail at it..My hair is super soft so when i try to roll it it just falls apart...Do you think i should try putting Mouse in it to make it more stiff?

I wash my hair everday because i naturally have oily hair and i hate the feeling of Greasy hair.

  • @RetroEgo Try teasing the hair more to make it sturdier. Also using hairspray or pomade to help with control. It works! If you try and go a couple of days without washing your hair, it's going to get oily at first because it's used to getting washed all the time so it's going to produce more oils. You have to break the cycle. I only wash my hair once a week, two tops, and it's fine. Plus, It's best to not style on clean hair. It'll be less slippery/soft and it'll be easier to control.

  • @ClassicRetroGlamour Thanks soo much! Ill try that ^_^

  • i think your have the most variety on vintage styles there very good \

    keep it up

  • @emiilyvon THANK you :)

  • Is your hair just one length, aside from your bangs?

  • @alphabeticaldoom Until recently, yes, it was. In my two latest videos I've cut it just a little, and it's slightly layered.. Not much though. Layers are definitely a must for vintage hairstyles! Makes everything so much easier.. :)

  • @ClassicRetroGlamour not for me. lol. I have layers and i guess they may be to short. Cause the victory roll is quite hard for me to do. :(

  • @thecheatofcoolness Oh, well, you've got have a certain length to your hair as well, to be able to acheive the victory roll.. :) But you can make variations of it with shorter hair. I think the victory roll can be difficult for everyone, it needs practice to get the technique down! :)

  • i did my hair like this last night following this video and took pics everyone loved it!

  • @mamagrubbs That's great! I would love to see the pictures! or you could post a video response! :)

  • @ClassicRetroGlamour of course! where should i send the pics and today i also did the hair do you did in your very 1st video. i took pics of that too.

  • did you put any products in your hair when you pincurled it?

  • @nightmares624 No, just water. You can use setting lotion on wet sets. It really helps with holding the curls!

  • AHHH Victory Rolls are a pain!!

  • @phsycobilly69 They can be.. I think they're beautiful, I can't get enough :)

  • THANKS FOR THE IDEA OFF TO TRY IT LOL XD

  • Where do you get those beautiful flower pins you always put in your hair? I love them!

  • @MissPrettyElleC The one I use in this video was a random one I got a long time ago.. Not really my favorite, it's sort of uneven and doesn't lay flat against the head. The others I've used are from BelleBlossoms. com :)

  • You should totally put this as a response to my or Amanda Hallay's tutorials so it will get more views. it's really wonderful...

  • @LisaFreemontStreet Oh! Thanks! :) I might just do that!

  • is very difficult for me to do that my hair is curly and very hard for me, not be the only hope. kisses from spain

  • @aeleaonor Yes, I do agree that with really curly hair the challenge is even buigger - but it's not always impossible.

  • i love the thing on your wall :D and love the hairstlye

  • Haha :D THANKS! I love it too! (The thing ;)

  • I know what its like to get frustrated with the victort rolls

with the roll in the back, does it matter how long your hair has to be?

  • I think that if your hair is longer than mine, it's an advantage to use this kind of tool to create the roll. I feel it makes the hair easier to handle, especially if your making it on yourself. If your hair is shorter than mine, it depends on how much shorter, you can always make a thinner hair rat to get the hair to go around it. Now, I don't know if you have longer og shorter hair, but you'll just have to try it out and see what works best for you. :)

  • thank you! :D

  • you make it look effortless! wow!

  • It can be - after A LOT of practice ;)

  • @ClassicRetroGlamour I do them..but i'm not so sure i make it look so streamlined :)

  • I la-la-love your tattoo!!! It's so hard to find a tutorial for victory rolls that's easy to understand- and you've done it! Thanks so much.

  • Aw, you're so sweet! Thanks so much! :)

  • Beautiful

  • Good :D
