The people of this country should really focus on birth control instead of bringing kids into to the world to suffer. Did she not know that she was poor and could not take care of a child after having the first one? What about after the second child? Or the third? Or the forth? Or the fifth? Absolutely despicable! The foreigners who reward them for their mistakes are only encouraging them to continue the cycle poverty because they will not learn from their mistakes. Give them birth control!

This is a tragedy.I feel bad for ALL of them. Would like to help in anyway possible. The children are INNOCENT. They're not responsible for the unfortunate circumstances in which they were born, neither for the social, ecconomic conditions present in the country. PPL talk as if ONLY RICH ppl should reproduce. To reproduce is a part of nature. Sometimes SEX is comforting to ppl who R suffering. Birth control is not an option, she's too poor to afford it and no social agency to get it free!!!

Gonaive I have soo little time to respond to your criticism. Today I was in Cite Soleil and they tell me no one comes to listen to their problems. I built an orphanage and school in Source Matelas with with now 130 children with my own money, have done many loans, give my own money for the poor, dance with the people, lift their broken spirits, try to find jobs, give food and rice to the hungry. What do you do? Please, tell me.

If you read my thread you would see that i mentioned that these people are acustom to living on $30. a month...and offering $200. a month is more than they can even imagine having. You meet these people for one minute..do not know nothing about them, Is this really her children? Is the money really going to go for the children? Is her so called husband going to use the $200. a month for the children or another "new" girl friend? this is not how you help people.....

Here is some one that lives on an average of $30a month and they are offering $200. to $300. a month. That women that wants to help has no clue. She is thinking with her heart instead of her brain.

Excuse me, rice and beans have more than doubled in the past year. $200 a month for a woman with five children is not a lot. She needs to buy chabon (charcoal), oil, mangos for eating and juice, sometimes pots, pans, and what about clothes sandals and many things to live. $30 a month does not cover the food if you want to try to help her and use to do it on $30 a month please come and show me because $30 is only $240 HT a month and that buys one bag 25 lb rice which cannot last two weeks.

Are you serious? DO some research. I have been to Haiti, my husband is Haitian born here. Just as in our country, where the lesser income families, who do not have access to the best doctors, birth control, etc. They have babies. But unlike our country where we have Welfare programs, it becomes manageable.

I give away half of my personal income for small businesses and food and clothes to my friends in Haiti. I have had double pneumonia in Haiti. I have been shot at many times. I want you to come and help me find a job for her and you will be blessed. It is far easier to sit on the couch and be a sideline critic.

It is full off what you are giving up. the risks you are taking and what it is costing you. nothing about the people you are helping and why you are helping them....again i state give her some self worth. "give a man fish he eats for a day. teach him to fish he eats every day". why note start a micro credit loan system for a small buiness? it has worked in other places around the world.

Also, what you don't know is that a few compassionate individuals who support our orphanage pay 15 people in Haiti to run it. We believe very much in working. Instead of judging first, ask.

Really! I just escorted a convoy of free fuel to the Jordain Hospital in Ramadi. This is a free hospital serving the poor. The week before one of my guys had his legs taken off!! by a EFP.  So talk is cheap!! Not from were I am seating.
