Корявый понт дороже денег... Задолбали все эти выкрутасы с "лучшим оружием". Оружие - кусок железа, не больше и не меньше. Лучшим или худшим может быть только боец, владеющий им. Лох есть лох (с катаной ли, с шашкой ли), а мастер есть мастер даже с кочергой. А эти выкрутасы из серии "самый-самый" пора уже бросать - они удел задротов.

Есть вопрос: многие шашки сделаны из сабельных клинков. Наверное, главная особенность шашки - это все-таки, рукоять. И я, кстати, не отдам однозначно шашке статус самого эффективного холодного оружия: хорошая сабля, да и колющее оружие - рапира (не путать со спортивной fiorett) или шпага - серьезные противники при условии мастерского владения ими. Шашка вышла на первый план тогда, когда упал средний уровень фехтования.

Отличный репортаж. Очень толковый и поучительный. Лишний раз убеждаешься в мудрости предков, выбравших такое оружие. Наши кавказские самураи ни в чем не уступают, если не превосходят в целом, японских вояк. Горцы и есть горцы.

Замечу одно; шашка шашке рознь, и отнюдь не все шашки весили по 450 - 500 грамм. Те же казачьи шашки были длинее и весили до 1кг, так как казаки принадлежали к кавалерии - другие требования к ХО.

Shashka made of titaium? It would be too light and will not hold a good sharp edge. There are very good reasons why there are no knifes out there made of pure titanium, tungsten and chromium.

The video shows how great craftsmen the Adygas are. It explains why the adygha sword is the best in the world. It is better than the japanese katana.

It reminds me with the adygha carriage. When you start investigating why each part of it was built in a certain way, you realize how great our grandfathers were .. .

yes, it is true, russia had the finest blacksmiths of all of circassia come with their families to moscow and the urals and had them make the royal swords and such. the blacksmith would pass the skills to his son which he brought with him and so on. this way russian czars had the finest weapons always new to them, but good luck trying to get this into a text book, we have been forgotten...
