@79itsjustme 2001 was the last time they played it, on the Dioram tour. Daniel did a very quiet acoustic version of it on the last night of the tour and then never played it again
I wonder why they didn't finish the song (besides the fact that Daniel hates this song.) But I figure, if they were to play it at all, why not play the whole thing?
You are right, it doesn't mean that. But I just say, that I really like it - though it's very different and a more happy record than the older ones. But it's natural, that they evolve musically. Just think of Daniel's life, where so many things have happened.
Why do you think it's gonna be good ? Did u not hear Y.M ? Down right sucked balls.........now come on, they are so soft it's not funny, why do you like Y.M so much ? it's so cheesey and corny and very hard to listen to
thats an understatement, they've changed their genre of music from grudge/rock to piss weak pop. No guitar or solo's anymore, all pianos and violins and the weirdest vocals u'll ever hear. THey have completly forsakin their old fans for stupid young screaming girls, can't beleive it
Is this the last time they played this song ? And also anyone reckon they'll ever play this song ever again ?? Or any of their other hits like shade, faultline and suicidal dream
haha okay a year later lol...i don't know seems from the videos i saw that already in the NB era they weren't really playing anything from Frogstomp. What i've seen so far is israel's son (big hit so to speak), madman and suicidal dream (in his frame of mind at the time seems to make sense as a choice of song). Here he does have tomorrow but not in entirety, don't know if he sang it in other shows for NB. Seems he already didn't like it much. I don't know, maybe someone can enlighten me
they did play this song during the NB era, but only at the beginning of the tour, I guess it was just Daniel playing the guitar, they definitely played it at their early gigs, e.g. in London in February, 99
yeah, he didn't like to play it at that time but he had been sick of it already since 97, if not earlier :)
This was in 1999, you can tell because of the front of Ben's bass drum. It has the Neon Ballrom themed SC logo on it, plus you can see the keyboard stand in the background. They didn't tour with a keyboardist before that. In a recent interview Dan said they hadn't played this song since 1997. Interesting. It sounds like he was having a very good night here vocally. Still love these guys after all these years.
you are damn right I love how ever performance of it Ive heard has completely different improve guitar soloing like riffs at the beginning right before the first verse... it never EVER sounds the same. But tis the best how they plaey 1:20 mins of tomorrow stop for a second scream 1,2,3,4 and blast right into Satin Sheets :)
see thats how I was when I was an original fan from 95-2003 then I got out of them but then a year and a half ago I got back into them and started liking some of Diorama and Young Modern material as well as the demo's and B-sides from that era.... Back when Diorama came out I was too young, disappointed and pissed off to give it the chance it deserves....
Theres still lots of Not So Good songs on those albums but there are some amazing ones but Neon Ballroon,Freak Show and the b sides and covers and demos and alt versions are the best of Silverchair for sure. However Diorama has his best vocals to date as far as SINGING goes.... Even though I love his singing voice I still love his Screaming Voice ALOT MORE and I miss the HEAVY RIFFS like Trash, Dearest Helpless and Spawn Again. But hes alot HAPPIER & HEALTHIER and im Happy For Daniel.
I also understand that hes not a pissed off depressed teenager anymore and doesnt want to make that kind of music and I respect that. I also understand that his health problems changed him ALOT and Ive had lots of health problems myself the past couple years and cuz of that I thinkt hats what helped me love his new stuff and find inspiration. But tracks like Across The Night, Those Thieving Birds ETC really uplift me and I find their new shit is like music for the soul if you know what I mean
Yep you' re right. I know that today he doesn' t want to do sad music or heavy riff, it' s just that i miss the sound "grunge metal" do you know some bands like frogstomp or freakshow like ? i' m looking for it ^^ (sorry for my english.. i' m french :p)
Nope Ive searched MANY times for the next new silverchair and I have never successfully found a band that has the same intensity, style and sound that they once had.
Silverchair is DEFINATELY the best POST-GRUNGE BAND OF ALL TIME HAHAHAHAHA I dont consider them post grunge but thats the good ol' label that they get slapped with
yeah, I miss that era too, in fact I felt the same when diorama came out, but after a few months I started to enjoy it a lot...I hated tuna in the brine, and now it is one of my fav ones... I wonder I will ever enjoy young modern as much as those previous albums...
yeah I was the same way... When Diorama first came out all I liked off it was The Greatest View, One Way Mule and The Lever (aka the heavy songs on it) but now I cant believe I didnt love songs like Across The Night and Tuna In The Brine when I frist heard them.
they'll play it again. daniels voice has changed so much since then so it wont be no where near as good

damnit why is daniel using that fucking gibson intead of the PRS.. sounds better with the paul reid
chiefmojorising1 3 years ago
id have to agree
bl00DAvian 2 years ago
He only used 2 PRS in this show and neither of them were tuned to Standard, like the SG was.
As a PRS owner, I do prefer them over SG's, though.
Spedly 2 years ago
PRS are beautiful guitars,
SG is awesome as well, they look like a cool guitar thats why there mainstream.
PRS just looking at it with is amazing, is urs a CE 22?

I highly doubt that it's for young screaming girls.
I'm not really a big fan of the band, but they can do what they want. If they wanted to try a different genre, they should have all the right to.
