Here it is for those who are wondering why he 'Went through Janet' on the questions. First he agreed to the interview. Second he did not know what the ?'s would be (He's a SMART man) so he would hear the ? From the interviewer then She would repeat it giving him time to think of a reply. He was always careful of what he said. Later interviews became to where he would prescreen the ?'s and have his answer ready.

EXACTLY as it was depicted in the biography "The Magic, the Madness, The Whole Story," by J. Randy Taraborelli. He hated interviews. He prefered not to do them, but album promoters insisted that he do them. Doing them in this manner allowed him to be somewhat comfortable, while at the same time drastically sabotaging the interviewer's intentions. Funny guy.

I think this is J Randy Taraborelli. He wrote about this interview in his book on Michael Jackson, that he said he would only do the interview through Janet and would not talk to the reporter directly. They were all in one room. I think Taraborrelli cut the interview short and said, "This is ridiculous. I'm not doing this any more."

He had found greater fame with his solo album "Off The Wall" and he insisted that his sister Janet relay the questions to him in order for him to take part in any interview. I guess he had his reasons, I don't know. He never quite seemed completely happy during his lifetime. You can hear it in his voice here.

It's not his true voice though. You can sort of hear it at 4:30. not just cause it drops deeper but several interviews, you can hear his natural voice. His brothers even said it's not his natural voice. But still, i know my voice is sweeter when talking to my mother verses the fellas. This just may be that interview with Tarraborrelli...I love MIchael, but that was weird. It was said that Tarraborrelli abruptly ended the interview because he couldn't continue asking questions through Janet, who was about 14. because: By this time in Michaels' life, he had become less trusting with any journalist..he had basically become very jaded and the only way that he would do this specific interview, would be to have janet be right by him and she would be a mediator between the interviewer and himself...It was a way of guarding and protecting himself...for instance, it would be highly unlikely for the interviewer to ask a question like "are you gay?" when his younger sister would have to filter the questions.
