Bush is from Texas, but I know not all people from there say it that way. I know of one person living in Nebraska who says it like that too, and Sarah Palin said it like that, and she's from Alaska. I don't think it's specific to any certain region.

The M on the end of '-ism' is syllabic, according to my pronunciation dictionary. Just coz there's no vowel in the spelling, doesn't mean it isn't a syllable. Three examples right there for ya!
I like the way Bush also used to talk about his country men like they are pubic wigs!

Bush is from Texas, but I know not all people from there say it that way. I know of one person living in Nebraska who says it like that too, and Sarah Palin said it like that, and she's from Alaska. I don't think it's specific to any certain region.

Bush and older people from the South regularly pronounce nuclear "nyu-kyu-lar" -- in fact, until attention was drawn to Bush's pronunciation of the word it was an accepted pronunciation in the US (Eisenhower pronounced it thus) - Bush was born Connecticut and raised in part in the Northeast. His Texas twang is an affectation.

exactly and i think its a doctrine in US law (correct me if i'm wrong) that you can't be guilty by association). therefore to say that obama was at one point linked to a 'radical protestor' is not a valid argument for him being a lacklustre president. the fact of the matter is before he even became president he shook up voter apathy which is a problem in many democracies.

people had vans, and would drive through the very poor sections of town announcing that they were going to the voting place to vote for obama. millions of uneducated people came out of the hood and voted for the handsome black face instead of the familiar "old white guy" and bush's only three bad points were a.)acting like a democrat, b) the iraq war, (in which we did take down saddam hussein and establish a democracy) and c.) being a terrible public speaker.

so does being poor automatically make people ignorant and unfit to vote. and as previously stated im nt american so i can't make a informed argument over your point A. however the iraq war, yes whilst we did remove saddam the reason we went to Iraq was for WMDs but we found that there were none. and our troops are still propping up the democracy in Iraq, and what would happen if another Saddam was elected in Iraq, it would be interesting to see Bush, McCain and Obamas reaction should that happen

I was only really trying to be harsh because some other guy was being stupid. America's a pretty good place, I imagine, for the most part. It's got it's problems, like any other. Some of it's problems are unique. You guys are the the most powerful. It's easy to bitch at the US for bossing people around, but any other country would do the same, if it had the same power. It's good that America is a liberal nation, not something a bit less friendly. The US is there to slap psychos down, too. Handy.

No offence but, so thats why America has failed to agree to any reduction on C02 emissions has it?
The fact that we're actually under the EU, we have to do that, thats because of the European Union, we're meant to go with their laws, confinded in our own but largely place our laws over there's.
What for years we have tried making a referendum on that very basis, because most of Europes laws hold us back.
But I definately on that basis would say they boss us around, we're just there for them.

Not saying the UK hasnt made any tragic mistakes but the last major one was with the union of Northern Ireland with GB and that was back in the 1970s, the latest being of course Blair siding with G Bush.
But that was largely Bush's fault.
