  • Just watched "Adam Hills- Womens Magazines".

    I CAN HEAR WHAT HE'S SAYING!!!!! :D

  • How could anyone dislike this? It's great. Bush was a retard

  • That was quite brave of /Mr Hills considering Golu...I mean John Howard brought in sedition laws.

  • he's from the south. he has an accent is all. that's just how they say it is all. we don't think british and australians are dumb for not pronouncing aluminum differently.

  • @creamyfilling102 As an Aussie we pronounce aluminium correctly.... for our version of the english language :D

  • @creamyfilling102 lol pro-tip: the british invented the word, you pronounce it wrong

  • ADAM HILLS FOR PRIME MINISTER!

  • Nuke-you-ler. It's pronunced nuke-you-ler

  • @Fortstorm please tell me your not serious? if you break down the word, it is nu-clear lol

  • @RaffiMcNaffi Of course I'm not serious. I was quoting Homer Simpson =)

  • @Fortstorm oh thank god :P i love homer simpson

  • "You actually voted for your guy!" XD Haha, I love it how clearly only half the people in that audience understood that one XD XD

  • @betthisnottaken wow... i'm brazilian and I understood that... then again i was living in australia when John Howard became PM, so that's how i know what happened....

  • Damn Terrists

  • costello is my precioussss!!! hahahah

  • 2 weeks after he said that, an israeli minister for tourism was assassinated lol

  • "the people of australia should know that.. nobody likes us" <-- haha that made me laugh

  • @Prime4571 thanks a lot, this helped a bit :P

  • Omg I love the Australian accent! Who can teach me how to do it? And what does this "broad" mean, when everyone talks about the Aussie accent they say it's broad. What does that mean?

  • @iLiveForYourLove there are different ways of doing the australian accents ( a bit like how a New Yorker speaks compared to somebody from New England) in particular the word derby some pronouce it derby some pronounce it darby. One city in particular can be pronouced a few different ways. The city is Newcastle. Some pronounce it New car sill others New casill. I don't know if this has helped you at all.

  • @iLiveForYourLove you know i dont think you can be taught an aussie accent you just gotta do it plus its really hard to do our accent coz no matter how hard they try, i have never heard an american actor pull off a reasonable aussie accent even if it sounds authentic to those not in australia

  • @erinwhoroxbtw for our accent they get some pommy yahoo to do it and that goes just as well as a one legged man in an arse kicking competition

  • @iLiveForYourLove 'There are 3 main types of aussie accent.'Broad' means a very stereotypical Aussie accent like Paul hogan or Steve Irwin. This means the dipthong is very pronounced,'g's are dropped from words like 'working' and it's often found in rural or working class areas, but not always.'General' is what Adam & most city Aussies have-noticably Australian, but not so rough.'Educated' is somebody like Clive James,Barry Humphries or Claudia Black-the 'posh' Aussie accent.

  • @BrisVegess I should add, there are SMALL regional differences-an Adelaidean will say'Schoolle' with little dipthong, where as most aussies will say 'Schoo-ull'.Melburnians sound more English. But these are by no way fixed in stone.

Linguists think the Aus accent became very uniform within 50 yrs of settlement. In the UK,every 1 is judged by what they sound like.In Aus,where people of all classes speak with a similar accent,it was a way to break with the past for a more egalitarian society.

  • @iLiveForYourLove There's a great documentary about the Australian accent called 'The Sounds of Aus'.You can get the dvd from the ABC Shop,I think.I'm sure they ship overseas.

  • for the record - ter ror is m

  • i can't stop watching adam hills on youtube. nobody like us.

  • I think I've just upset Gollum!

  • Should we take them all to the Hopsital, I have and ambliance waiting outside?

  • lloove his accent

  • Where can I find more videos of this guy? I've watched every single one of his videos! Can't get enough of Adam Hills.. :D

  • wtf =/ it's not weird, it's how we pernounce the r's lol

    terr-or-ism 3 lol

    whatever =]

  • @daccord1 Try that thing we all did in Primary School dude. Clap your hands to every syllable when you say the word. It has 4. -.-"

  • TER IZM

  • HOPSITLE!

  • This was kind of lame. In american english we pronounce all R's in words. So in american english the word "Terrorism", is three syllables.

  • @2Sumner4 the proper pronunciation is Ter-ror-ri-sum, not Ter-ris-sum, which is what adam hills is saying Bush says

  • @2Sumner4 If you pronounce allthe R's in words, then terrorism is four syllables in American English, you moron.

  • @2Sumner4 Even in Australia we pronounce 'terrorism' with four syllables (please watch the video again, if you don't believe me). Whether we drop the 'r' or not depends on where the 'r' is in the sentence.

  • This guy is awesome

  • No they voted for theirs the second time around, as we did. Difference is, they got oil contracts and out of that, the gave us nicer trade agreements than we would have had otherwise. I reckon France must have a huge problem with surplus crossiants getting close to their use by date about now for not going to Iraq.

  • That was really funny. I never noticed the terrorism thing.

  • HAHAHAHA !! I love you adam hills!!! you are the best dude !!!! fucking best!! :D:D:D:D i loved the joke about Gollum!

  • nuclear. terrorism. tourism. :)))))) AHAHAHA

  • not that funny is he? kinda nothing, girls kinda laugh at him cause he's 'nice'. he probably is but I don't reckon he's a that good at stand up. would make a good tour guide though.

  • @dunoonroad Well I disagree, I consider him my fave comedian ever :D

  • @dunoonroad he did make a very good gollum

  • @dunoonroad u hav a very bad sense oh humour!!! his the best darn comedian ever!! u couldnt do better u low life

  • @goholden12345, you can't spell. So you think that Mr Hills is a better comedian than people like Billy Connolly, Robin Williams, Eddy Izzard, the Monty Python troupe and Spike Milligan? oh yeah, he's right up there with that bunch. yeah he's elite! and whatever made you think I was a low life? I thought 'low life' types stole from friends, raped kids and owned real estate companies! not simply make a comment about a comedian they don't think to be funny. There must be a lot of anger inside you.

  • @goholden12345 umm, and in English!

Call me stupid, but where in my original statement do mention that I could do better? You say that Monty Python is mostly crap, so are you saying you are better than Monty Python? that's a big call goholden! big call. What's actually funny is that Adam Hills is paying out the way Bush can't pronounce certain words, imagine if he saw the way one of his fans writes!

  • @dunoonroad so wat i cant properly spell words in the langauge i speak!! accully i hav been told that i could do comedy :P! oh and i bet he'd agree with my first coment because u say he aint that funny and that girls "may" think his nice!! u still havnt changed wat i first said!

  • @dunoonroad oh p.s monty python is crap unless its the holy grail :P :P

  • soooooo funny

  • I LOVE HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • oh shit, I think I just upset Gollum! XD

  • @guudonya - you are a dickhead.

  • Oh shit! I think I've just upset Gollum! lol

  • di u no that this guy has only one leg? if u watch him walk you can c his fake leg.

  • Well .... just GREAT :D

Even English is not my native language I am able to understand most of it :D

  • Thank God Bush is out of office, but it's still great to see someone (especially an Australian) poke fun at him. The accent just seems to make everything funmier.

  • haha he is really funny.........n i love to hear him all the time......

  • I dont care about politics

I just want this guy in my bed!

  • @xLovelessxTwilightx : I love your way of thinking :D

  • @xLovelessxTwilightx Because of his stump?

  • @murf69 No because he's hot, and I love his accent.

  • @xLovelessxTwilightx We all know you'd only be in it for the stumping...

  • @murf69 Uhm sure.

  • @xLovelessxTwilightx LOL me too..HAHA

  • Well it is wrong. It is just some made up, mixed up way of pronoucing words.

Its also very lazy. Thats why Adam Hills is taking the piss.

But we don't walk on egg shells like americans. Try and lighten up you might enjoy yourself.

  • You're an idiot kukuluku1, that's not how we say terrorism and nuclear, that's how poorly educated areas in America pronounce it.

I live in Seattle, where in the states do you live? Adam Hills was not the only person to ever make fun of the way George Bush pronounces "nuclear" many American comedians have poked fun at him for it as well. Please don't assume everyone in the states speaks like you do.

Also, the joke was done in very good taste, so there's no need to get butt-hurt over it.

  • i think i can recall an episode of the simpsons where homer corrects lisa and pronounces it "nucular". homer for president?

  • you know adam hills is australian right just asking

  • @rustapuppy300

Yes, I do. I was not referring to him when mentioning American comedians.

  • oh ok just needed to know for some reason

  • @swittlesworld psht i live in seattle and agreed. And everyone makes fun of George Bush because he makes it too easy to.

    i luv adam hills!

  • @swittlesworld he also takes the piss out of his own country's leader (at the time) as well.

  • @swittlesworld furthermore, he then takes the piss out of his own nation's leader (at the time) referring him to Gollum, which is pretty accurate.

  • I thought it was a 3 syllable word?!

Oh whatever - i'd let Adam Hills take the piss out of me any time any day!

  • @fizzandy its a 4 syllable word Teh-Rah-is-um... and yes i know it's spelt terrorism

  • Yeah i thought as much after i saw this lol, swear every british person says te-ru-ri-sm. Nevermind eh lol

  • @gaybuzz1 it's not "spelt," either. :) Sorry I just had to. All in good fun.

  • SPelt or spelled can be used as a verb since they are both in the english dictionary with the same meaning.

  • Spelt is actually the Brit version of the word.

But either way it doesn't matter. To get pissy about that is to be trivial. So whatever right?

  • "We must figh tthis terrorism whenever we see terrorism, stamp out terrorism where -ever there's terorism"

  • he is awesome!!

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA XD

  • OMG... i love chasers... i can't belive that they arnt on anymore.... and i cant belive chanel 7... although that is sooooo funnny.... lol

  • adam hill is pretty darn amazing

  • He's not as funny as Jack Dee :(

  • I was drinking juice while Adam did the Howard/Gollum impersonation. I choked, and suffered badly.

My brother thought I was coughing blood until i started laughing...then cough again...

  • Thanks for sharing that, I almost followed in your footsteps and choked on my soda

  • haha you should never be drinking while watching adam hills cos you'll definately choke :)

  • Me too. I ended up on the floor in hysterics with tears in my eyes and a sore stomach.

  • wow his impersonations of bush & howard were scarily accurate!

    haha i love adam hills!

  • What? Haha his Bush is fucking terrible. His comedy is pretty damn good tho.

  • Oh come on, Bush wasn't that bad, I think we all "misunderestimated" him

  • @walkingtoNewOrleans I don't think it was that good an impression of his voice.

  • his American accent is spot on

  • omg is accents are amazing. howard=golem omfg lol

  • it seems that a few of you dont know how to count syllables

    terr-is-m = 3 syllables

  • my thoughts exactly

  • Mine too dont even have a comment for that since you said it perfectly lol.

  • ism at the end or a world is one syllable just the english language i guess, but i have been saying it for the past like 5 mins then my mum who was an english teacher said the ism is one syllable, lol who knows

  • The only Australian comedian that makes me laugh.

  • he's so charming!!!

  • He got it a bit wrong... It's...

Terrism and Nuclur. Both 2 syllables.

Pro-iffer-ashun is a good one too.

    Nuclur proifferashun.

  • no.. he says /ˈnjuːkjələr/, which is how Adam Hills said it. He didn't do a very good job of impersonating Bush's voice, though.

  • Pretty sure no American says "/ˈnjuːkjələr/..."

  • Bush says "nuke-you-ler". So do many other people in the U.S. I know... I live there.

  • Is it a particular dialect? I heard Bush is from a Southern State (British here, so please correct me if I'm wrong) so is the pronunciation particular to that region?

  • Bush is from Texas, but I know not all people from there say it that way. I know of one person living in Nebraska who says it like that too, and Sarah Palin said it like that, and she's from Alaska. I don't think it's specific to any certain region.

  • i was sure he was from conneticut..

  • bush is from texas. my grandmother's cousin's husband use to work on his ranch there.

  • Bush and older people from the South regularly pronounce nuclear "nyu-kyu-lar" -- in fact, until attention was drawn to Bush's pronunciation of the word it was an accepted pronunciation in the US (Eisenhower pronounced it thus) - Bush was born Connecticut and raised in part in the Northeast. His Texas twang is an affectation.

  • How is "Terrism" 2 syllables? What happened to the 'm'?

    ter-ris-m?

  • "to the nations of the world nobody likes us" lol hes the best comedian in the world

  • lol he made a mistake with the terrorism part....he was suppose to say terrorism became a 2 syllable word coz it already is a 3 syllable word lol.....but all up genious

  • He's taking the piss out of george bush and george bush would say something like that

  • Ter-or-is-m = 4 syllable

    Ter-or-ism = 3 syllable

  • 'shall we take him to the hopsitol, we have an ambliance waiting outside'

    brilliant

  • lol!!!! i love adam hill so funny!!

  • "I think I've just upset Gollum."

    Tee hee

  • 'costello is my preciouus" lmaO xD

  • FoytheleeRacing

that my friend, was amazing lol

  • lol hopsital??? nice one!

  • you know I think it's quite funny I'm American and I hate our goverment I didn't vote for Bush but I think it's pretty sad when people start picking on accents he was from TEXAS after all and so yes his accent would be different then that of us Yanks.

  • I soo agree with you I am American too and Im so happy Obama is president and he changed a lot in just about 3 months :)

  • HAHAHA that was great!

  • should we take him to the hopsital?

    XD

  • Ok. First of all, I would like a categorical definition of 'comedy'. :]

  • Comedy (from the Greek ,komodia) as a popular meaning, is any humorous discourse generally intended to amuse,

  • actually the queen was a spice girl. she was crusty spice. and when i say radical i am talking about his methods.

  • yes but different people have different views of what constitutes radical.

  • yeah... i know redneck people that think muslim people are like the sign of the end of times.

  • exactly and i think its a doctrine in US law (correct me if i'm wrong) that you can't be guilty by association). therefore to say that obama was at one point linked to a 'radical protestor' is not a valid argument for him being a lacklustre president. the fact of the matter is before he even became president he shook up voter apathy which is a problem in many democracies.

  • but most of the people he "shook up" were uneducated and only voted for him because he is a handsome celebrity who can speak well.

  • and you said: i think its a doctrine in US law that you can't be guilty by association. therefore to say that obama was at one point linked to a 'radical protestor' is not a valid argument for him being a lacklustre president. are you kidding? just because obama didnt have anything to do with the ayers protest bombings (and im certainly not trying to say he was) doesnt mean we are obligated to ignore the fact that he is "linked" to ayers, reverend wright, farrakhan, fannie mae and freddie mac

  • ha.. im taking this too seriously

  • how do you know who voted for him. and has for having uneducated people in the voting process. The republicans had Bush didnt they? also wasn't McCain the second choice in the 2005 republican nominees? therefore he's second choice to Bush? that isnt really going to endear the republicans to the first time voters is it?

  • people had vans, and would drive through the very poor sections of town announcing that they were going to the voting place to vote for obama. millions of uneducated people came out of the hood and voted for the handsome black face instead of the familiar "old white guy" and bush's only three bad points were a.)acting like a democrat, b) the iraq war, (in which we did take down saddam hussein and establish a democracy) and c.) being a terrible public speaker.

  • so does being poor automatically make people ignorant and unfit to vote. and as previously stated im nt american so i can't make a informed argument over your point A. however the iraq war, yes whilst we did remove saddam the reason we went to Iraq was for WMDs but we found that there were none. and our troops are still propping up the democracy in Iraq, and what would happen if another Saddam was elected in Iraq, it would be interesting to see Bush, McCain and Obamas reaction should that happen

  • he was also a dumb shit who was trying to take over everything

  • well he was elected in a democracy wasn't he?

Isn't acting like a democrat acting like he lives in a democracy instead of a country under a fascist regime.

  • no, democrats like more government control while republicans prefer less government control. or they should anyway. im an independent.

  • your definition of democracy is severely flawed.

  • i think you are confusing the system of democracy with the democratic party. america is a democratic republic.

  • your system of government is supposedly democratic. But that's a lie.

I am glad I am not american. At least I don't delude myself that the world loves me when they don't.

  • let me educate a little bit my friend, but no american thinks that everyone loves us. The american people are completely different then our government figure heads.

And you are just another person who has fallen prey to media and the false perceptions of the american people.

So don't say things about americans if you don't actually know what they think

  • i was about to reply to him but you summed it up.

  • I've actually met every single American, They have informed me, you are incorrect.

  • i doubt you know a single american. you have seen bush on tv, and thats pretty much all the experience you have. are you british or australian or what? the media that is supposed to inform you about americans is only showing you the greedy bastards and the smooth talking politicians and the fat ignorant isolationists. please dont make uninformed comments about people you have never met.

  • ive been waiting ages for a comment like that, all countries apart from america hate america its a fundamental fact haha GET USED TO IT AMERICA EVERYONE REALLY TRUELY HATES YOU!!! HAHA LOOK AT THE ECONOMY YOU MANAGED TO SCREW UP NICE ONE AMERICA YOUR REALLY WORLD GIVING THE WAY YOU REFUSE TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT Co2 EMISSIONS LOL FACT!!

  • the people who run the country are stupid and greedy. americans as a people are not.

  • I think your waste lines prove otherwise

  • i think you mean "waistlines." and im talking about thirsting for power and war and money, not food.

  • Comment removed

  • Funny how thats the same thing thats happened to your nation so I would call you a hypercrite.

Im not being horrible at all just stating a fact mate.

    That comment backfired disasterously.

  • Also why the heck post that here?

No ones going to really care, youtubes not the place for this kind of conversation, they belong on forums related to that topic.

These comments are supposed to be about adam not about politics and economy.

    End of conversation.

  • did you not understand simple comedy? comics insult everything. i bet u'll hate "Chasers" too!!

try googling what it means have sense of humour.

  • Funnily enough, America asks Australia for a fuckload more than they give back. See, your economy is fucked, not ours. Bush and Obama ask us for help. And our country is better than yours, purely on the virtue that the risk of getting killed is comparatively phenomenal. There are warzones with lower death rates than your "Home of the Brave." You should know, a majority of the wars since WW2 have been started by you idiots.

  • Thats a fair comment to be honest.

Least America as a whole is starting to realise how stupud it looks infront of the rest of the world.

Gives us some entertainment though to see them try and reconcile some truss about the situation but the actual fact is, they cant, too much has happened to even think about doing that.

  • I was only really trying to be harsh because some other guy was being stupid. America's a pretty good place, I imagine, for the most part. It's got it's problems, like any other. Some of it's problems are unique. You guys are the the most powerful. It's easy to bitch at the US for bossing people around, but any other country would do the same, if it had the same power. It's good that America is a liberal nation, not something a bit less friendly. The US is there to slap psychos down, too. Handy.

  • No offence but, so thats why America has failed to agree to any reduction on C02 emissions has it?

The fact that we're actually under the EU, we have to do that, thats because of the European Union, we're meant to go with their laws, confinded in our own but largely place our laws over there's.

What for years we have tried making a referendum on that very basis, because most of Europes laws hold us back.

But I definately on that basis would say they boss us around, we're just there for them.

  • When they mess up, merely try to cover the cracks for anything they've done with total ignorance, thats why we get their backs up on youtube.

Because they know it and wont admit to their falling drastically badly from errors they have made.

Not saying the UK hasnt made any tragic mistakes but the last major one was with the union of Northern Ireland with GB and that was back in the 1970s, the latest being of course Blair siding with G Bush.

But that was largely Bush's fault.

  • The average American doesn't even vote. They just don't understand what they're part of, and their government and media keep it from them. Like Colin Powell and the WMD's at the UN. In America, they called it the smoking gun. Everywhere else called bullshit on it. It's because the media are too heavily involved with the government.

  • america's just plain stupid lol

  • what make the world angry is the Texan / Southern US "Americana" "The United States are the best country in the world and you can all suck it" attitude. other people dont like ignorant assholes, typically.

get rid of those people, and america will have a lot more friends

  • A whore with a few less herpies sores is still a whore.

  • Those are called "hicks", and they reproduce alot faster than the rest of us considering their stupidity.

I agree, southern Americans are the most annoying of us, and I also hate their accent.
