  • incredible piece of heavy metal history.

  • Wow, they used to stand really still at concerts.

  • Ozzy totally disrespected drummer Lee Kerslake and bassist

Bob Daisley by re-recording the bass and drum parts for the albums

2002 reissue because of a unpaid royalties dispute ...or whatever .

The BLIZZARD OF OZZ 2002 reissue is not the BLIZZARD OF OZZ

1980 album,it's none of my business, but it is my business when you are

an diehard 80's hard rock/H.M fanatic.Bob who came RAINBOW and

Lee from URIAH HEEP,two other great bands, Ozzy just shitted on Bob and Lee's integrity as artists.

  • Randy started the shred genre. Not Malmsteen

  • fucking unbelievable intro solo.............

  • the original members (Lee and Bob) should never have been replaced and ozzy should have paid them accordingly because as great as Tommy and Rudy are, they did not have the chemistry for making songs like the original Blizzard band does. Why do you think Ozzy kept bringing Bob back?

  • I was 18 years back in 88 and was a very impressionabl young man. I was fighting off peer pressure to hang out with high school buddies and this awesome female gym teacher. I was almost going to say no but at :39 I heard Ozzy scream bud-light ,so I ranout of the house and bought a 12 pack of bud light. I want to say that Ozzy was in business with budweiser.

  • @xxAlicexxHannxx Don't like it don't leave stupid messages. Just go elsewhere.

  • do you have july 25th 81??? Hamilton Ontario Canada....I was there 30 yrs and 2 days ago :))

  • Dude can you send me full concerts of ozzy with Randy Rhoads please?

  • its so cool listening to how randys talent progressed live

  • the intro solo gave me a boner, blew my mind, and my load all at the same time. R>I>P RHOADS

  • Three SVT/810 rigs on the bassist...Oh my freaking God, I can only imagine what the stage volume was

  • i think this is the best version of crazy train.besides i never heard randy shredding like that in the intro.

  • thats the first time i ever heard that intro from randy

  • love it

  • @TheE1961 yes I do, I was there and the Hamilton Place show and Maple Leaf gardens!

  • Where did you get this? I am wanting to get the full show.

  • @mrdeersniper If I remember correctly, I got it off of Limewire a few years back along with some other bootleg stuff of other bands.

I don't have the whole concert, but I do have bits and pieces.

  • Still got my ticket stub for the 12.09.80 gig. Cost me a whopping £3:50. Don't think I have ever seen anyone play guitar like that since.

  • BUDLITE!!!!! AT COUNT THIRTY EIGHT..........

  • THERE IS A GOD!!!!!!!HA!HA!HA!HA!HA!......

  • the guitar follows the e.s.p subliminal thoughts of the lyrics

  • very little live recordings are around because he died too soon......

  • BUDLITE!!!!?GET TO THE CHOPPER!!!!!TO TURN THE SH*T DOWN... AND RECORD IT RIGHT.............. MIX NEAR END OF SOLO......NEEDLE JUMPS....CLIPPING....E.T. ALIENS AND THE SWAP THING.....

  • @cletisevans1 Wait... wat?

  • one of the best live recordings of crazy train ,ozzy's vocals are too dry and clipping...

  • You rock

  • Today marks the 30th Anniversary of the release of Ozzy Osbourne's "Blizzard of Ozz" album. Fueled by Ozzy's iconic personality/songwriting and Randy Rhoad's groundbreaking Neo-Classical guitar wizardry, it erupted onto the scene as the greatest musical comeback of all time, cemented Ozzy Osbourne's status as a metal legend, and changed the face of metal forever....

  • TODAY WAS THEIR FISRT SHOW

  • today is the 30th aniversary of Randy Rhoads first show with ozzy,RANDY THE BEST WHO EVER LIVED

  • GRRRRRHHH!!!! I hope someone strangled that keyboardist!!!!

  • cool but too much keyboard during verse riff

  • Wow, Randy had fire with this lineup. Bob, Lee and Ozzy. You don't hear this shit on Tribute. What a fool he was for getting rid of Bob and Lee.

  • That was the longest and coolest intros to Crazy Train i've heard. This is one of the best live versions around. Great playing throughout!!!

  • And to think if Randy didn't wanna record his licks to further perfect himself these awesome performances would be just faded memories

  • how can I find live Randy footage?!??

  • Try after hours.

  • @weedontheton Audio or video?

  • @gdog066 footage is video

  • @weedontheton / All of the live video of Randy is here on YouTube. There isn't a lot of material of Randy out there. Hell I'm 43 and I had to buy a bootleg DVD of Randy about 8 years ago to see footage of Randy for the 1st time. I remember where I was when Randy passed. In my 9th grade math class when we all heard the news!

  • @weedontheton

try the first 2 or 3 clips in that list

  • sounds like they're playing in a fucking basement xD

  • @krollaostmedburger concert hall to be exact :)

  • March, 19, 1982 is the worst day in history.

  • @mrdeersniper agreed :[

  • @mrdeersniper Indeed my friend, indeed.

  • does not play.........

  • AWESOME!!

  • Did I hear Ozzy yell Bud Light

  • @mrdeersniper - If He Did then he was a Visionary? Because, Bud Light didn't come out until 1982.

    Later....\m/_ _\m/

  • awesome as these soundboard boots are, I REALLY can't wait for that fuckin DVD to come out. Apparently footage from a show in 1981 was just recently discovered and, according to the Ozzman's twitter blog, is gonna be released later this year.

  • @drquesadilla Yeah, he "discovered it" right as its about to be the 30th anniversary of Blizzard. To mean it seems a bit coincidental, and as though $harron and Ozzy have been holding it back all these years just so they could release is and make money off a big dvd deal. Pretty sickening they would use a dead man to make a profit, the person who saved Ozzy's career and made $harron's no less.

  • @KarimisFan

Yes, all that, I understand. Thank you for veering COMPLETELY from the point. Tell me you haven't been waiting for such footage to be released, we all have been.

  • @drquesadilla lol yeah, i guess that was a little off topic. I'm just a huge Randy fan, and I really dont like what Ozzy is doing. Anyways I'm very excited to see some new footage of Randy tho :)

  • @KarimisFan True, I personally don't blame OZZY as much as the various organizations who had rights to the footage etc. I don't think Ozzy himself's responsible for the music business-related affairs, no offense to him but i'm not even sure if he quite understands it.

Al that set aside, its gunna kick some ass anyway \m/

  • @drquesadilla It definetly is! Speaking of Randy footage, I just uploaded an entire live album from the UK Blizzard of Ozz tour if you or anyone else wanted to check that out.

  • @drquesadilla I CANT WAIT FOR THAT!

  • I was living in LV NV in 92,A radio station played 2 songs Ozzy and RR,I never heard them ever One was kinda simler to Flying Hi the other was completly difrent.I called dn instently to radio and they said it was a live show in Japan and they bought it at Sesears Palace.I go and that was the only one and couldent order it.WTF so back to radio and they wouldent give it up for nothing.Doese anyone know about these to songs?I also here Tonight goes on for like 8 mins of solo

  • Oh ya it was deffently Randy for sure no dought.I totaly respect Ozzy and his disitions to keep Im sure tons of shit hidden but those to songs would just be the greatest thing to hear again.

    Sorry for spelling

    Happy New Year!!!! \m/

  • SORRY, no not Brad Gillis,I searched both sides of everything,I like Brad I think hes underated for sure but there was no songs with Brad in Japan that were even origanal All covers of Sabbath and RR.Ok Im done

  • "You Said it All" and "You Looking At Me?"

I think these are the two songs you are asking about.

  • Oh thank you so much for repley Im ganna go searching :)

    Thank You so much!!!^

  • @irrationalnigger you the man thats it found it.

    Thank You!!!

  • it might be "You looking at me (looking at you) and "You Said It All"

  • Thanks Jaymz I found a couple weeks ago I cant beleive it took so long to find and it was under my nose the hole time lol. Thanks for your time!

  • The actual Chior music opening to Ozzy tours is Ofortuna.......If you see that the lyrics translate to ..damn its perfect.

  • What would've been if Tony Dexter hadn't went out about those runway lights, and Randy woulda got his soup and sleep instead:

He wanted to go on to a career with Classical, and from his electric-amp'd stuff prolly woulda got a 7th higher string!

This was recorded before Blizzard was done -when it was "The O.O. band", Randy didn't know what to do for that 2nd solo yet, and it had a long intro that was getting longer before it was decided to cut it short.

  • fucking awsome, little dude was killer at guitar, i wonder what would have been, what was next after diary of a madman, ozzy said Randy was working on something that would have been bigger then anything they have written, better he never had the chance to put it on tape, Randy rhoads could really write good music. anyone here ever see ozzy live back when randy rhoads was still alive?

  • bobby, i was lucky to not only see the blizzard of oz but also motorhead, frank marino, vardis, and triumph all on the same bill in august 1981 the ticket cost all of 8 quid which in those days was a days wage, well worth it though, some shit hot axe work went on that day :-)

  • wow, i wish i was there!!!! a lot of legends in the making, thanks!!!!

  • @Bobbydickheaded wut u dont know is that BOB DAISLEY had a lot to do with the lyrics and organizing the music. a lot of ppl dont know that. BOB & KERSLAKE r gotten.

  • well believin13 i knew that, did you know that he's trying to sue ozzy for rights and royalties, sharon didn't like that so she re recorder bob and kerslake parts on blizzard and diary

Hey fuck face, don't tell me what you think i "don't know".

  • @Bobbydickheaded wow only whores and sailors talk like that, so i take it thats where u got ur lingo from uh.

yes i knew abut the lawsuit. i stand behind BOB 100%

  • Oh, i belive that bob wrote the material, no doubt in that, i jsut took what you said to me wrong, just read my screen name, im pretty much a prick all the time..... but its also pretty dirty for the re recordings, thats not fair for the bob and lee, i don't, i must have read your message wrong.

  • @Bobbydickheaded . well its like this if someone offer's me a job & tells me that i'll get paid so & so, then i expect it. & he such a bad guy y did ozzy hire him back to write and play bass on the other recordings? ooh he didn't play on the No More Tears recording. it was all done to get out of paying BOB & LEE.

  • @believin13 I know this is old but Bob did play on No More Tears. It was the last time he worked with Ozzy.

  • @JonHawaii2003 ya i know that. thats old news. its still shitty though wut sharon and oz did to them though. anyone with common sense will agree to wut i said.

  • @believin13 Yup, Sharon gave Bob the shaft, that is for sure.

  • interesting how the timing is different on the solo and afterwards. great to hear the original lineup live. the keyboards are just too loud. sure would like to hear the whole show.

  • Damn Randy was awesome, I've always had him as my #1 ranked guitarist of alltime above all others because what he did was great for music...challenge people to be more than conventional while not showing off and staying humble...a killer combination

  • no. jake e lee was a good replacement for rhoads. zakk sucked

  • there is no "good replacement" for rhodes"

  • true. very true but unfortanetly wylde is the best replacement there ever will be to rhoads, but rhoads is so good that no one will EVER exceed let alone meet his greatness

  • Zakk was a terrible replacement for rhoads, im not saying Zakks bad but Randy and Zakk are two totally different music styles and there was so many better guitarists Ozzy could have chosen

  • did you know if ozzy's drummer haddnt suggested randy he never would have picked him because ozzy didnt like him at first

  • well thats not entirley true. esecially since ozzy got rid of that drummer soon after that :) and theres many stories of many different people telling ozzy about randy, i guess no one knows.

  • uh, Ozzy picked Randy without him actually auditioning. He heard him warming up and chose him. I'm pretty sure Ozzy wanted Randy in the band.

  • to fill in the gap from zakk to rhoads, brad gillis from night ranger finished the tour with ozzy after the dreaded crash, then jake e lee was ozzys guitarist for a few years, then zack wylde, but you know that right

  • @Ashley4u2b Actually after Randy it was Bernie Torme, then Brad Gillis, then Jake E.Lee then Zack came.

  • @ace19901227 zakk wasnt a repplacement for randy, brad gillis was, zakk became after jake´s departure, ozzy hired him just because of his unique style, ozzy hates copycats, thats why every guitarrist of his band have an unique style

  • @thedarthvitor

I know that, what I meant by my comment was that every replacement was in some way related to Rhoads's playing. (Brad Gillis was more of a fill in than a replacement) Jake E. Lee still had a very neo-classical style of playing which is what Ozzy should sound like. Not sloppy, sludgy, "southern metal" crap guitar like Zakk plays. Ozzy should have chosen a guitarist that similar to both Randy's and Jake's style. Not something completely opposite.

  • @ace19901227 well,we cant chose who ozzy will chose, for example,i didnt like zakk´s departure and gus g hiring,i think zakk wylde hiring was perfect, there coudnt be anyone better ; )

  • @ace19901227 I wish he would've got Brad Gillis again.

  • @mrdeersniper

For real! That would have those twenty years of sloppy guitar playing and pinch harmonics much more enjoyable!

  • SO HE DID USE AN OCTAVER !

  • i think it might be just pitch harmonics but i can be wrong of course

  • do know dimebag worshiped randy and was inspired by him..

  • You had me until the "Dimebag is shit" comment.Randy is my favorite guitarist of all time but to disrespect Dime like that makes you shit.

  • I was at this gig, remember it like yesterday.

We actually met Randy in the alleyway where the stage door was, signed autographs etc.

Can't believe its nearly 30 years ago.

  • A few guys in my class went to this gig (i couldn't afford it) and said it was amazing. You are a lucky man to have met Randy. I met Rudy Sarzo about 3 weeks ago and spent time talking about Randy, Great.

  • i was there that night ....and i think this was the SECOND time they played it .....they only had one album of material ...but i wasn't complaining ha ha .........

  • By far the best crazy train i have herd that is not on a cd

  • If Dime was better why did Dime say that Randy was better and a huge influence on him?

  • just wants to know who is dime?

  • an amazing guitar player, pantera, damageplan, rebel meets rebel. listen to him, you havent lived till you do

  • R.I.P randy william rhoads

    forever the greatest guitarest

he had the most influnence on me then any other guitar player

  • was able to see randy and ozzy on the doam tour just a few weeks before randy's death. march 5th 82. pine bluff convention center. was my second ever concert. i had just bought blizzard . i was hooked! although ozzy's voice was shit! randy ripped it up!! he was flawless!! a master! i will never forget it he was just amazing!

the world lost someone very special just a few short weeks after that night! i'm just glad i got to witness randy's magic live!

    god love you randy.

  • lol does he yell bud light at 00:38??

  • yes he yells bud light feels right all night

  • thank god he left quiet riot and joined up with ozzy

  • Yea, but If he would have stayed with Quiet Riot he'd still be alive today.

  • holy fucking shit every one in the band is perfect and there are no mistakes

  • Yeah. And I heard that Randy was the only person who could make EVH nervous. Now i see why :)

  • @spyware1100 yea it's not a good thing to make eddie nervous

    RIP randy

    Rip Dime bag

our prayers are with you jason becker

  • @spyware1100 whos EVH?

  • @jsisrael130

    Eddie Van Halen

  • not to be a critic but could you please do the video again but enhance the sound even though its ok by using garage band if you have a mac or something like that

  • thats a great pic!!! r.i.p randy rhoads!!! the savior of music!!!

  • randy rhoads was the greatest guitarist of all time

  • I was only fifiteen when randy died and i remember the day, i couldn´t stop crying,

I´ll never forget him,... . what a guitarist

  • awesome fucking intro man i would give anything to see that live too bad i'm 16

  • Holy shit that rocks.

  • LO AMO

  • prs4292 Picture is from the Mr.crowley 12" ep Sleeve.

  • where did you get that picture

  • This is unbelievable! Lovin' the Kerslake. I believe the recording is clipping from the sound of it at times - and not the performers - it doesn't sound like human error in the playing. The Groove is too fucking strong.

Not liking the synth at all on this one though - takes away the heaviness and is just a lame dated sound. I would have rather the keyboard player on stage but not making any sound on this tune.

    btw - R A N D Y !!!!!!!!!! Sarzo was right - he was their guardian angel.

  • i totaly agree. they should have had don airey stay backstage and not even touch that keyboard. the intro builds it up soo heavy, then you hear the synth and it totaly brings it down a notch.

  • all abooaaaaaaaaaaaaaard!!!!!!!!!!!!! hahahahahaha

    thats so ownage

  • that's what a call an real intro!

  • Can sombody please tell me the name of this song thank you!

  • crazy train

  • really?

  • Crazy Train are you just getting into rock or something?

  • Crazy Train is one of the badassest songs ever you cant FUCKING deny it!

  • It was in reply to a kid who didnt know the name of it. Yea the song is fuckin amazing though.

  • Chris Holmes, Mick Mars also are great!

  • the only guitarist that was as good as rhoads was probably only eddie van halen.

  • i.m.o. randy would be the best guitarist in the world if he wouldn't have died. i wish i would have been alive back in 1980, i'm only 14. i would have given anything to see him live. R.I.P. Randy Rhoads :*-(

  • -------††††-------Place -------††††-------This ††††††††††††††††Cross ††††††††††††††††On -------††††-------videos -------††††------- -------††††-------To Show -------††††-------That You -------††††-------Love Randy -------††††------- Randy Rhoads r.i.p
  • i was there....Randy was the thinnest man i'd ever seen.... but boy could he play!!!!....this was ozzy's first gig...and he came on at the end in tears ....he was back .....and Glasgow loved him......

  • too bad this was a time before affordable video cameras.

  • yeah!!!

  • I LOVE IT!!!

  • Possibly the best song ever made in my opinion. R.I.P. Randy.

  • randy solo is just.... asndasd'jbsa'ljfbadsfhbdfdshfbda;sjbsd;fbhsadjkfnds'lofndsa

  • RANDY RHOADS IS THE BEST.

  • I am pretty sure if Randy didn't join the band,Ozzy would have sounded like Deep Purple ,Uriah Heep,Rainbow. He was looking for that sound, auditioning those kind of musicians,he even was on record saying he was looking for that kind of group.Randy was indeed the wild card that steered him off a dead end street into obscurity or Black Sabbath reunion stints early on.

  • Ozzy was really lucky he found Randy, and lucky again when he found Jake E. Lee after Randy. Both guitarists kept him from fading away.

  • @yellowshirtguy ozzy and sharon defanently have a hell of a knack for finding guitarests.

  • @pitbulls4life11 Dana Strum is the man responsible for getting Randy into the band.

  • @pitbulls4life11 The best one, Tony Iommi, found Ozzy though.

  • @yellowshirtguy with out them ozzy would prolly be on the street asking for money or something bad like that

  • This is the best line-up of the band.If it wasn't of the other three(Randy,Lee & Bob) Ozzy wouldn't have made such career after Black Babbath. He took no part in the songwriting. Not even the lyrics.Whatever he did after Lee & Bob left and the unfortunate death of Randy cannot compare to the 2 first albums.

  • fuck the beginning solo is fucking killer

randy was the best of the best of the best of the best
