  • @Khadgar34 - Thank you kindly for uploading all these Good Eats episodes. I've learned so much from this show and now I can catch up and learn everything I missed! I'm so bummed there's going to be no more new eppys.

    Thanks again :)

  • Seizure central.

  • 0:25 imp from DOOM getting shot

  • I'm eating Ginger Snaps right now. Its a store brand, but its still good.

  • "the vomitron". LOL

  • "...or this big clunking uh baseball mitt of a hand from, uh, from Costa Rica. This is enough for about a year."

In my household, Alton, that's enough for about a week and a half. XD

  • Instead of throwing out the remaining ginger water, you can make ginger syrup, and it goes great with whatever Alton listed that candied ginger goes well with, plus tofu pudding and green tea if you're feeling adventurous =)

  • Do it for (Aperture) science!

  • @sasuke5088 Throw out the companion ginger tin. Sorry, I suck at videogame jokes. :D

  • that gingerbread man must be related to chewbacca.

  • at 00:25, that sounds kinda like a monster from doom :P

  • I wish all the Food Network personalities were as interesting and informative as Alton Brown.

  • I love ginger and i use it frequently in iced or hot black / green teas , as candies like Alton Brown did and i even use it in most cooking recipes. From cookies to biscuits , stir frys , soups to even grills.

Ginger when mixed with sugar , chillies , paprika , pepper , salt , onion powder , garlic powder, honey and lime juice makes one hell of a great marinade for grills and barbeques.

Plus it has anti-inflammatory benefits for joints and body. Relieves gas too. lol.

  • i just puked from the vomitron

  • he said "you need gingering up"

"gingering up" means shoving a shaved ginger root up a horses ass

    : |

  • @TheMagnoxian Nonsense

    gin·gered, gin·ger·ing, gin·gers

    1. To spice with ginger.

    2. Informal To make lively: A steel drum band gingered up the party.

Might wanna quit hanging out with the beastiality crowd.

  • @Hornball50 the part about "to make lively" originates from the practice.

it was meant for the purpose of selling horses, it made old horses act like they were young

  • Nono, Ginger is used in TCM to remove 'wind' which may be flatulence or colds and flus.

Also used to freshen breath or rid the body of bacterial influence, not cure cancer.

  • @flickeries

Ginger , It can help digest fatty foods and break down proteins. It is excellent for reducing gas. Many people report that it will also relieve nausea, and can be effective in treating morning sickness as well as motion sickness.

Ginger can also help reduce inflammation. So it can be used to treat any disease that is caused by inflammations such as arthritis or ulcerative colitis. Some studies show that it can even help inhibit the replication of the herpes simplex virus.

  • i spun myself on my wheeley chair while viewing the vomitron and i felt really motion sick haha

  • What? What does that have to do with anything?

  • im starting to love this guy

and the videos too, they are so entertaining and informative too

  • Ahhh the gingerbread man makes a Doom sound.

  • @ 3:35

Does anyone know what that giant apothecary shelf drawer thing is called??

  • A medicine cabinet. Have to ask medical halls in asia where they get it made, I doubt it is mass produced and usually comes from a carpenter.

  • the gingerbread man totaly has a boner!

  • That gingerbread man seems to have an erection.

  • He certainly does. I assume that was not intentional...

  • "If you don't cream enough"

    Lol.

  • mold is also good eats on the grapes to be used in desert wines.

  • no one likes you. how dare you correct AB?! Please burn alive.

  • HOW CUD DIS HAPPEN

  • Keep the spam to the minimum.

  • Why would you describe yourself on youtube? D:

  • @TigerSlashX

Being a warming herb, ginger can help knock out a fever. This property also makes it effective in stimulating circulation of the blood. It can also help relax muscles around the blood vessels and is said to help prevent blood clots from forming. The warming effects make it a natural decongestant as well as an antihistamine, making it the perfect remedy for colds.

  • damn that ginger bread man is scary up the ass

  • I've heard it's also good for morning sickness

  • when he is in the grocery store it looks like the Gingerbread man is stalking him

  • Kevlar... awesome :)

  • I made the Candied ginger, I made it a bit to thick so it came out looking like Mexican candy lol. Still good though

  • Of course this may be intentional, because it would be cruel to make the cameraman sick.

  • Also they could get sued for making people puke.

  • the strobe makes the image look stationary, while the spinning tells your body its moving. The clash of the two = sickness.

Without the strobe, you'd just get dizzy and not trigger sickness

Its not ridiculous, you just dont understand it

  • Well, my thoughts were based on the special glasses created to cancel out motion sickness, they use strobelights making your eyes only see fractions of a second and your brain correct what you see, if you wear this and read a book in a moving car you wouldn't get motion sickness, but I didn't consider that big strobelights in a moving room woudln't cancel out motion sickness. I guess you are right, a moving room without visual cues creates motion sickness. Sorry.

  • alas, i cannot appreciate ginger as i have an automatic gag reaction to it

  • sorry to hear that i just cant handle it by its self

  • Why does the gingerbread man sound like a wookie? :p

  • Same reason why the bigfoot in the turkey frying episode sounds like a wookie. :D

  • This takes me back. I'm taiwanese, i was raised cooking with ginger amongst other things xD

  • :25 the ginger cookie sounds like an imp from doom!

  • Ive actually heard that sound effect in many different video games and movies! The moose from baldurs gate make that sound, as well as some animals in warcraft!

  • omg, the gingerbread man in the first scene has a boner! hahaha

  • You are now aware of how much alton says "uh" :)
