I accidentally listened to this album one day, and was intrigued immediately. When this song was finished I was so amazed I had to listen to it about 20 times just to calm down. It brought tears to my eyes. These guys did it! Amazing!

I will reevaluate it definately but on my first few impressions it is not too good. After Yankee it's been a bit of a flat tire for Wilco, although i can see what Tweedy was trying to do. However, the poetry books and faux avant garde stuff followed by the plaintive simplicity of the last two albums. A bit of a snorer really. I still keep waiting for them to get better regardless lol.

I agree that i dont find this album very interesting.... but to say that theyve been a flat tire since yankee is just absurd. SBS was my favorite album so far, and ghost is born has 3 of my favorite wilco songs, so come on.

i know spoon. im in brooklyn ny, and its got a great indie music scene going on right now, the silversun pickups just made a good album, and even MGMT had a few good songs from their last album. the latest band to have some commercial success is kings of leon. theres also so many others that i cant think of

Like every Wilco album, you have to listen a few times before you start to appreciate whats going on here - its rich, its layered, so many things going on theres no way you can just give a review after one pass.
