  • Just beautiful.Talented man.Has written some great songs.

  • Lyle, Australia loves you too

  • How this song doesn't just blow away anyone who hears it is beyond me. Perhaps it is a blessing that Lyle isn't 'mainstream popular;' for the beauty of his music is that he remains true to self rather than strive to fit his music under some narrow label. He is just amazing.

  • very underated song should have a billion more views also i think the world would be a better place if everyone listened to this song everyday

  • @1:59 willie wipes a tear from his eye :)

  • Might as well take your heart out lay it on the table first.....this man is classic and everlasting in my opinion.

  • this man really knows how to use a capo

  • :) true song.

  • Willie Nelson is sitting next to Lyle, with his broken cigar box guitar, and thinking to himself: "Man... I suck!!".

  • Quite possibly the best song ever to come our of Texas.

  • simply brilliant.........what a voice!!!!!!!

  • One of the most beautiful songs ever (even if the sound quality is lacking here). How this song just doesn't reach into the soul of everyone who hears it is beyond me.

  • You are a ladies man Lyle. Saw you with John Hiatt last month. I could watch your show every night! We loved you both!

  • One of the best!

  • Lyle Lovett sings country western with a clear tone and feeling that comes from the heart.

  • thank you....that's all I can say.

  • 90210 is where I first heard this song too. I have loved it ever since. I highly recommend Lyly Lovett in concert. He is great live. The tickets go fast.

  • Come on over And I like eggs over easy with the flour tortiilas - Along with (a lot) of cream in my coffee - really - just let me know first - my yard is good - we can eat in one of my gardens - just not inside the house

  • Mr. Lovett does justice to this sweet and simple song!

  • Such a great song....the beauty of these country songs is they tell such great stories.

Don't y'all think?? Thanks for posting!!

  • I dont know what it is...I keep coming back to this song! First time I heard this was 90210...When Dylans wife was killed. I hadnt heard it again until last year, almost 10 years after sitting at the rose bowl parking lot after I just got home from my last deployment. Its an amazing song!

  • Great song so simple and can conect to everyone!!! Great job on posting it....i first heard it in the movie *61

  • @joshde82 Me too man... Now I am a huge lyle lovett fan.. I just saw him in concet..

  • This is the quintessential version of this song. Only Lyle can whisper those little whispers coupled with the perfection of the bronze-wound strings of his Collings guitar. When you consider that this was recorded in a perfect concert environment for Austin City Limits in 1994, with Willie and Rodney Crowell listening nearby, this truly is the Holy Grail of Lyle Lovett acoustic virtuosity. As his voice ages, he may never duplicate this performance in terms of perfection.

  • I really don't think Lyle's voice has fallen off over the years. He is one of those few artists whose live performances sound exactly like his records.

  • i m a huge lyle fan, and i love what you wrote here. you r obviously a big fan as well, and you truly get it with this guy. he has such a great touch and his sound on this is so great and it typifies his live shows. his guitar has a distinctive sound and goes so well with his voice..... funny thing on this performance is his voice actually cracks a little and you can see him holding in a grin..... this guy is great and i'm so glad to see other people geting into his music. thanks

  • @stedrod nice

  • The intimacy of this song is overwhelming. Austin City Limits... is that Willie wiping away a tear about 2:00?

  • My Husband loves this song. He cry's everytime he hears it. yeah... He Cryed.
