This movie wasn't bad. I actually liked Routh as Superman. He did a lot better then I thought he would. I was skeptical when they announced him as Superman, but he did very well. Good enough that I would watch more of him if he should ever be cast as Superman again. What made this movie for me though, was Spacey as Luthor. He's not Gene Hackman, but man he does the part credit. It's a shame Routh won't be returning as Superman. I hope Cavill will be able to pull it off in Man of Steel.

wow... first off I disagree, I mean I dont think hes gonna be winning an academy award any time in his life but hes not that bad, second, what acting is needed to be superman? superman is my favorite superhero but he is a boring ass guy. You don't need to be a great actor to walk around sad and somewhat content with life. Superman hardly ever shows emotion except in an extreme sense, screaming in anger or pain. bottom line, you dont have to have talent to be superman.
i disagree superman has a wide variety of emotions brandon routh made superman boring tom welling on the other hand great actor he does need to play superman cuz somebody might fuck it up somehow
I love this tv spot and for me, Tom welling is a wonderful actor but the fact is Brandon routh is great too. Also Tom weeling can't be superman yet because the tv series Smallville but I hope he will be Superman for the future movie Justice League.

the smallville cast?..mm..i think he's too young for this part and audience could already expect the way he would portray the superman character.that's why bryan singer gave it to an unknown actor, sumone with no 'baggage', so to speak.
