my first experiance with a Titan impressed the hell outta me considering how much they weigh. I have a 95 Z28 (headers, cutout and flowmaster, CAI, tune) Convertible. He got infront of me onto a road and punched it. At first I was like, meh ok and goosed it from 3rd and he started pulling. Hammered it to 2nd (doin about 60 by this time) and finally started catching him as my ole girl was getting her breath. Hit 3rd about 90 and passed him but not HOLY SHIT FAST. They not bad for the wt.
look i have a titan it deff not the fastest it all depends on the truck a big diffrence between the gears it you have the 2.94 gears it runs a 15.6 in a 1/4 mile if you have the off road package i can get mine 15.13 is my best with 305 bfg at and a leveling kit and 0 to 60 in 5.7 what gforce says i have true duals thats it it beats the new ram ive beat a ext cab tundra 5.7 from a dig deff a ford f150, havent got a chance to race 6.2 chevy yet want to ill start posting vids if noone believes me
i think all engines come with a cam and lifter just like ur garbage ass truck picking on a stock mustang i doubt u run fasater then high 14s in 1/4 mile. oh yeah ford won!!!
Heavily modded? HAHA that's a laugh. That was almost a stock Mustang and it wasn't 2600 lbs. Those weigh about 3200 stock. If he stripped it it might be 3000. I raced a single cab 2WD Titan last night with stock size tires and got 6 or 7 cars on him by 90 mph. I let him get the jump every time and still walked right by him before I even hit second gear. I have an old '82 carb'd 5.0 with intake, cam, exhaust, and a horrible wide ratio 4 speed trans and stock gears.
@niilomaki Yes, is there a problem with that? It was a 2008, 2WD King Cab, looked brand new. We kept hitting stop lights and the guy continually raced me off every light. I would just let him take off and spin his tires while I eased into the throttle and I caught and passed him every time easily. Titans are "quick" for a regular daily driver vehicle but they aren't fast. Any 5.0 fox body or PI GT should kill them no problem.
@Tj1056 Exactly. Explain that to the Titan fans that think they are the shit. They need to think more like you. Titans, Rams, Silverados etc are slow, no doubt about it. The only fast examples of those trucks are heavily modified.
@joshblacker1 They are quicker than a Titan, I think they are about equal with the 5.7L Tundras. I have seen a lightly modified SS go 14.75 at the local dragstrip and I saw a modded 5.7 Tundra going 14.5.

1/4 mile (~400 m): 15.3 s at 89 mph (143 km/h) FOr stock Titan. Any V8 mustang has better times then this. So if you ever win a race with a mustang its because they let you.
Either the guy in the Mustang did'nt know how to drive "AT ALL" or something is very very wrong with it. A HEAVILY MODDED 5.0 as you say would eat that thing like nothing. I own a 93 Fox gt and all my friends own Trucks so...I would know see my Vids.Titans are nice tho :)

I have taken out a few fox bodies with my titan...
stock the titan runs 6.2 to 60
gts are nothing special
