What I find ludicrous is that the only time Prost comes up in any discussion is when people bring up Suzuka 1989 and how he cheated Senna out of title. Prost and Mansell seem to be vastly discredited when it comes to greatest driver debates. No I'm not saying who was the best, I'm just saying I think Prost and Mansell should be mentioned with Senna and Schumacher.

If HILL was catching up Schumi(in fact, he did and he would won the championship) HOW can people say that Senna wouldn't win ?

People are comparing the greateness of Senna with the ridiculyness(?) of Hill.

Hill was just a shadow to Prost and a shadow to Senna.

That's why hill ALWAYS hated Senna. For being faster than him with a slower car(1993).

Also that's why Schumi always was jealous of Senna, for the same reason(1992).

Agree Monaco is drivers track, Schumi won it in 94, 95, 97, 99 and 01,was leading in 93 by a mile (and drubbing Senna along the way) when a £1.20 hydraulic seal failed on the Benetton and he retired, also he retired from the lead in 00 when coasting to the win, and was in contention in 04 before a lapped Montoya drove into him. By contrast Senna inherited wins in 92 when Mansell had to stop when he didnt need to, and 93 when Schumi retired. So whos best?

ps : Mansell stop when he didnt need ? how can you say that? was you his engineer? 'cause the team asked him to stop and he did.

Senna won 2 titles without the best car and was leading Schumacher in every race until "something" happen with him/his car.

Detail is that in the start of the season bennetton was a lot superior and williams was struggling.

Forgotten how good the 1994 season review vid was, all of the intro's to the races all had ace music to them. Hopefully this will get re realesed on dvd cause my vhs copy is now 14 years old and it won't last forever.

Who cares about Senna? The guy only won champions when driving the best car. Did he ever join a weak team starting scratch like Schumacher did (twice to be precise)? None, nada, nil, zero, NEVER. Senna ain't have the same guts. No one in a Schumacher thread even bothered to mention Senna until a few his jealous fanboys came in acting bitter.

because prost cheated in 89. that would have made it 4 straight. the only reason senna didnt win was because of jean balestrea or whatever the fuck hes name is. oh and i think the rules for 88 were the best 13 race finishes from 15 or something. if prost had better results he would have been champion. senna, best ever...

Best ever, my ass. Senna had "cheat" written all over him. Just look at all the dangerous cheap shots he threw at Prost, Portugal 88 for example. If JB had had any balls, he would have handed Senna a string of disqualification to straighten him out. When you fire cheap shots around, you are gonna get one back, and finally in 89 @ Suzuka Senna got a dose of his own medicine. It must taste sweet to that cheat.

@dlmaniac Senna was an all out racer & loved racing..nothing else... He was treated unfairly by the FIA & i'm sure began to get paranoid that they were agianst him.. he hated the polotics. What could he do? Sure he could have won it the legit way like a hero but it is so hard to do...he gave into the temptation to win 'unfairly'. I see it as a fair revenge. He will still the greatest.
