  • I'm growing my hair out to make it look just like Paul's XD

  • Jewell!!!!! Ace the Best!!!!

  • I like the way that Peter sings and I love Ace's guitar. Ace and Peter should start a new band.

  • Peter's vocals is incredible in here....

  • Paul got a Maurader deal, Gene got a costomized ax-ACE-hyped up a Les Paul-and played other Les Pauls..esp the A.F. Les Paul..Party On ACE!

  • LOL.....memories...them moving around while playing like that was something new as I remember. Blew people away.... I remember them talking about how they had to learn to play and move like that at the same time...the old Circus Magazine interview methinks - best pics going at the time....trend setting stuff...

  • Happy birthday too the "Starchild" Paul Stanley

  • I remember the first concert I went to in July of 1974,KISS was the opening act,and we came in on the middle of Firehouse.Gene spitting fire, the makeup(which was already half melted off),they reminded me of Kabooki for some reason.I wasn't real impressed, but at the same time, you couldn't forget them.I wasn't a fan back in the day,but in my older years,I really came to appreciate them as a simple, hard rocking band first and foremost.

  • hfhrffhhfhfhrhfhf .....is completely full of shit, and the biggest troll I've ever made look stupid.....

I gave legitimate info on this clip, and all he wants to do is be a total asshole....nevermind....run along liar.

  • i notice Gene is not doing much tongue waggling at this point. I hope Peter doesn't stab himself with that knife!!

  • ACE ACE ACE ACE FREHLEY

  • Back to the drawing board for you as well 'hfhrffhhfhfhrhfhf'...haha

  • Great !!!

  • the quality of this video is better than the one on Kissology, how did you get this one?

  • THIS IS WHEN KISS WAS ALL FOR ONE AND ONE FOR ALL WITHIN THE BAND. THIS IS KISS BEFORE LAWYERS AND EGOS GOT INVOLVED AND RUINED THE GREATEST CHEMISTRY BETWEEN FOUR INDIVIDULS WITH ONE COMMON GOAL TO BE THE GREATEST BAND IN THE WORLD!!!!!

  • For those of us that have been with KISS since the beginning...We are KISS! These four individuals were able to capture our inagination by creating the visual aspect of our alter-egos.

  • Yeah, another great song from the early Kiss days, which for me were the best. Their music was darker and moodier then. I still like some of their more recent stuff, but for me, their earlier music was best.

  • the lucky kids who did it their way and hit the big time, well done

  • Do you realize Paul is only 22 years old here? Wow.

  • EARLY STUFF IS THE BEST FROM KISS. BRING BACK ACE & PETER.

  • I hope that everybody had a Merry Kissmas.

  • Big Band with 4 Stars!

  • Nothin' To Lose....all about anal sex....

  • I got the GS-AXE-2 a couple months ago. Awsome

  • This is the first time I heard or seen KISS as they slipped into my rural Oklahoma frontroom at 1:00 am ....the rest is KISStory

  • THE MOST covered band ever!! check it out here on YOUTUBE!! even Nirvana...covered KISS!!

  • This is like the beatles with make up and a bit more horny

  • Ace is the biggest tragic guitar story told. He shined on Kiss, HtH, D2K, Alive, and rock n roll over . He made a brief return in 85 with his solo album. The rest of the time ? Plays like a 13 yr old on his second week of lessons. So sad. He was a lyrical , clean lead guitar player. Stay away from drugs kids.

  • god dam do i miss this time in life, i miss the old kiss

  • Peter had the most original voice in the band... this is a totally kick ass version of these tunes. They really were outstanding for the first 5 years musically.. They were and are still the greatest... but Musically they were really killing it here..Amazing!!!!!!

    Kiss FAN since 75!

  • @TerraDigitalMedia Yea,other than the picture quality sort of sucked, but true that..good stuff.

  • The Beavis and Butthead Band

  • Great opening salvo signalling future conquest of the rock world.

  • Amazing and incredible use of FIREWORKS at the end!

    Truly shocking and creative.

  • the rainbow was a kiss thing...this was the stage for all bands on this show..kiss had no choice...

  • it's almost the begining ,,this is 1974,,,there are some earlier 1973 live shows here on youtube,,

  • Who ever dislikes this can FUCK RIGHT OFF cause you got nothin to lose

  • How'd I miss this one? Thanks for posting...

  • They hadn't found the sweat-proof make-up yet!

  • see what the ridiculous girl shoes dress Paul

  • Love how they playing under a rainbow. ROCK.

  • lol at 6:28

    two persons are standing up

in 10 seconds, everybody i standing up, i love it to see how people follow eachother =D

  • i love how paul is ringing the bell during fire breathing ..

  • I used to stay up late watching these concert shows as a kid. But I missed this one. I was probably watching a war movie at the time.

  • yep. and the way we all remember the killer KISS.......

  • This song makes my butt hurt.

  • @beowulven HA! I fucking choked on my drink when I read that!!!!

  • and the world was changed forever

  • KISS was obviously a few years ahead of the band Rainbow's scenery.

  • @kzbxvz The rainbow had NOTHING to do with KISS and I wish people would stop saying it did. The rainbow was an ABC stage prop. Nothing more, nothing less.

  • @romeokid69 But in 1974 the rainbow scenery was pretty cool :)t

  • @romeokid69 the rainbow was the original kiss logo....

  • @hfhrffhhfhfhrhfhf No it wasn't. They never had a rainbow as part of their stage set. Nice try though. Back to the drawing board for you.

  • @romeokid69 the rainbow was their only stage prop when they were a village people tribute band in san francisco, check your facts.

  • @hfhrffhhfhfhrhfhf Um, what planet are you from? You're kidding right? Trying to see if you can push my buttons? Everyone knows that KISS is from New York, you fucktard. I promise that even IF the Village People were around first, KISS never would have been a tribute act to them. Now I KNOW you are messing with me. Thanks for the laugh.

  • this is freakin' awesome, dude! thanks for posting!!!

  • Really good shit!! Pisses me off at the end though at 9;30 Ace is not shown one time playing his gutar solo on black diamond, The light is on peter criss but hes done singing? Somebody fucked up, im sure everyone was happy , nobody complained about it ,.It sucks because i always imagined it certain way, Ace did too

  • Young and hungry...nothing better!

  • Some of the Best Pro Shot early Kiss .

This really is the next best thing to being there .

    Thanks for sharing

  • this i what great legends are made of

  • This is GREAT STUFF!

Wow, a 22 year old Paul Stanley...

  • This is GREAT STUFF!

  • Sound great for 1974!holyshit

  • wow this is the beginning of kiss

  • Peter Criss is going off!

  • Holy Crap, this is f...ing unreal. KISS RULES BABY

  • amen \m/

  • In the very opening when Paul says "Hey world, we are KISS", you can see that he actually has a silver outline on his star make-up. Awesome!

  • @csm55555 yes he does! he must've been trying to copy the silver line around his "bandit" makeup when he went back to the "star" design...

  • @csm55555 and if you look at gene closley on black diomand you can see glitter or sparkles in his makeup

  • @tgguitarguy i think its just all of the sweat

  • @onceonlyaz but look right below his right eye of black at 6:08 and you can see all these peicings and such in the white

  • @csm55555 thats actually not silver on his face, if you watch the whole vid, almost everything has that outline to it, its the old video and how the lights effect everything,, take a second look!

  • @csm55555 He wasn't very good at drawing a star yet either. Ot's pretty lopsided.

  • lmao @ 3:09 where gene blows in aces face and ace blows back then gene gives ace some tongue!!!!!!!!classic!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Watched "In Concert" religiously, and often went out the next day and bought the album of groups I saw for the first time on the previous night's show. KISS was one of them.

  • @Suldog29 So you have the very rare first printing of "KISS" album?

  • @01po01po

I wish I still had it. Flood in my basement wiped out half my record collection a few months back :-(

  • I saw this the night it was frist broadcast and it was all over for me! i was hooked immediately. I was in the high school band and skipped a football game to see them on oct.4, 1974. I got kicked out of the band and it was totally worth it!

  • @anaheimangels40 Someone needs to learn their KISSTORY before posting mindless dribble like this.

  • LOOK AT PAUL'S BOOTS JUST BEFORE HE WALKS UP TO MIC TO SAY

"HEY WORLD WE'RE KISS" THEY ARE WOMENS HEEL LESS HIGH HEEL PLATFORMS, YOU CAN SEE THE STRAP GO OVER HIS FOOT AND AROUND HIS HEEL..

  • @anaheimangels40 Thats because they didn't had the money to let them made especially for them, look Ace's boots, they are women boots as well...

  • Dammit I used to have THAT SAME LES PAUL as Ace!!! God I miss it!

  • whats up with the rainbow?.....where they en route to asgard?

  • kiss kicked major ass back in the 70's!up until about 1978.......then everything went , terribly, horribly, horridly, horrendously, totally, utterly and miserably wrong.......

  • HELL YEAH! REAL ROCK N ROLL!

  • they had great energy and stage presence back then!

  • Is it the first TV Kiss apparence on TV ?

Because i think they played in a Dick Clark's TV show on February , the14th of 1974

  • @Coldgin94 In Concert WAS Dick Clark's show.

  • Gene was using a custom Charlie LoBue bass with p-bass pickups in it he has two of them the chesnut wood was used here nd was stolen and the all black one was used up until the rock and roll over tour im not sure were tht one went, but obviously the man who made the bass was Charlie LoBue who customized guitars nd also customized the flying v Paul is playing

  • @rocstar527 Gene could afford a custom in 1973-74?? wow!

  • @mykylc Yeah he bought the bass in 1973,i didn't believe it was a custom bass until gene was interviewed in a magazine nd going threw the years of what basses he played back then this guy Charlie LoBue was a friend of Gene and Paul's who they would go to nd see what guitars he made nd if they liked something he would let them use it then eventually buy it

  • Anybody know what bass this was Gene was using at this time?

  • @mykylc Gene was using a custom Charlie LoBue bass with p-bass pickups in it he has two of them the chesnut wood was used here nd was stolen and the all black one was used up until the rock and roll over tour im not sure were tht one went, but obviously the man who made the bass was Charlie LoBue who customized guitars nd also customized the flying v Paul is playing

  • IT TOOK 7 DAYS TO MAKE THE WORLD AND ON 8TH DAY KISS WAS BORN

  • So good, the greatest band EVER!

  • this is an awesome performance truly showing how amazing these guys really are.

  • @wallace3542 or how bad they really are!
