You have to look carefully for the model name: Far as I know, the ST Special S has a solid maple Body, but the ST Special a laminated.

I think it's 3-piece solid maple - it's heavy...

If you compare it to a Duesenberg 49er than it is thin, but if you compare it to some of the Blade or Ibanez guitars it isn't ;) It's a good compromise - not too thin, not too thick.

It's a kind of modern c-shape, very similar to a mexican Fender Standard Strat.
