  • god bless america

  • yes!

  • This is scary as manure! I find some comfort in that it was uploaded four and a half years ago and it only got 56,000 hits by now. For a moment I felt that a specter was haunting the US, the specter of theocracy. I thought about the millions of people who have been slaughtered in the name of the gods - never again!

Keep the gods in places of worship and politics in Washington.

  • Are there any chords/tabs to this. My grandfather wants me to learn in but I can't find information on how to play it.

  • Animals were created for us to use/abuse? Animals were created for God and for us to be our companions. They were put in our care not to dominate and use in rodeos and bullfights (both are extremely cruel).

They were created to be our companions before sin entered this world which is in the power of the evil one as Scripture states. We will be held accountable for every creatures (Hebrews 4:13)

  • I don't think you understand it... it is not a Christian thing... the Catholics, Anglicans, Mormons, Muslims etc.... we are all together.. it is a GOD thing.

  • If we really trusted and loved God -- not just when the going gets rough -- we wouldn't have abortion, factory farms, hunting, circuses, etc. where billions of God's creatures are tortured and slaughtered for us. If we truly 'love God, we would respect His animals and of course people.

    God's Creatures Ministry

  • @Godscre100 Really? Odd, did you invent some kind of vegan Ministry that just you adhere to? Cause it sounds like it. Old Testament(Jewish), Koran(Moslem), New Testament(Christian) all condone eating animals, that those animals were "created for man to use". Not seeing anywhere in any religion that says "eat seaweed, my children, and let only animals eat other animals". I don't doubt your empathy, just your common sense. You conceive how many animals die by nature's harsh hand?Oh, never mind....

  • It sounds like they are trying to kiss God's ass. To do that you help your fellow man and forget your patriotic b.s. That goes towards hell.

  • you guys should change this to in OIL we trust

  • Except that it never happened. The song was never banned from the radio.

  • Buya baby, bu-freaking-ya!!!!!! Awesome :) What about our rights to believe in God? In case you didn't pay attention in history, the founding fathers founded this land IN GOD and in his name... you don't like it? go somewhere else. We don't mind if you don't believe in Him, that's fine! Everyone has a right to their personal belief, but if you can't be mature enough to allow others to believe in Him that is where the problem lies; that is where you mess with OUR freedom.

  • This country was "founded" on freedom of religion-they couldn't practice their religion in england, so they (quakers/shakers)left & came here-we done tell people they have to be baptist, moslem, latter day saints, catholic, you can practice any religion you want here, because we believe in that--Freedom! God bless american & the principles we were founded on-i feel fortunate to live here, no matter what anyone says

  • @rainharper62 You can practice any Christian religion you want, basically.

  • Continuation: But, I also believe that the statement, "In God We Trust" Shouldn't have to be removed from our currency. Taking the Pledge shouldn't be taken out of schools. If a parent does not want their child saying the Pledge then have them sit and remain quiet while it is going on. Or have the option for the children to remove themselves from class if it is really that big of a deal. These traditions have been around longer than most of us can remember. Don't change us, we won't change you.

  • People are losing the true meanig of the song. It has nothing to do with whether or not you believe in God. It has to due with the fact that immigrants are coming to this country and expecting us to change who and what we have been built on becuase they themselves do not believe in the same thing. I am not a practicing Catholic, nor do I agree with a lot of things with religion, but the fact still remains that is what this country was found on. Do I believe gov. and religion should mix? No.

  • Stand up for God!

  • Thanks Diamond Rio for making this song and video, you put all what this country stands for in one song. This song needs to be heard on every station and played in school, this country needs to go back to what it use to stand for. God Bless... If it offends you, use your American given right to pack up and leave... this is America and the country was founded on God. No one is holding you here, you dont like what we stand for, then go home...

  • Good song; wonderful message. Too bad the people in the video are so . . . white. One of God's greatest gifts to this great country is our diversity.

  • Woo Hoo!! President's Day, visit my channel for some President's day Action!! It involves a former President + Guns + Zombies, what could it possible be? Come on over and find out.

  • god bless america!!! XDDDD itz got 2 be the best nation on earth, not cuz itz the nation that PWNZ all the others, but cuz in GOD WE TRUST!!! FREEDOM #FTW we will have god mentioned all the time in america some day again, if we have faith ;)

  • @JaStudiosFlash Actually no, the U.S.A, (not America, america is a continent) isn't the most powerful, it just owns all the major tv broadcasts and a large portion of the internet, thats why 90% of us here are english, although there are more people that don't speak english. They hype the US up, did you know, that the only war Canada ever had with the US, Canada won? Plus, the US is not "free" we all have to follow the gov's rules, where forced into it.

  • @Putz4Ever canada fought in both the first and second world war, plus canada took part in the police action in korea. or technically the usa fought england in canada since canada was still a possesion of england until 1959.

  • @cheerlette08 and...?

  • One of the first found references of the motto “In God We Trust” is heard in the U.S. National Anthem, The Star-Spangled Banner. The song was written by Francis Scott Key in 1814 and later adopted as the national anthem. In the last stanza Key writes a variation of the phrase: “...And this be our motto: In God is our trust. And the Star Spangled Banner in triumph shall wave, O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave.” shortened to "In God We Trust"; first applied to U.S. coins 1864.

  • Don't be surprised that when you turn your back on GOD, he turns his back on you.

That goes for people. It also goes for nations. HE has given us fair warning.

  • do you know the last verse of F.S.Key's poem which we sing as the star spangled banner?

  • I miss when country artist put out songs like this. I listen to Christian radion because I am a Christian and do believe in my Jesus Lord and Savior. I pray for all who do not know Him or have a relationship with Him to be redeemed. The day will come will every knee will bow and all will see Him. what has this country come to when we fail to not only not trust in God but we fail to trust in our brothers.

  • Love it guys! I'll be looking for the cd to get for friends and family this Christmas! Thank you for sharing your wonderful sentiments. God bless America!

  • Here in America we have the beautiful and important freedom to believe whatever we want without penalty. Keep your God out of my house and out of my government, and I'll keep mine out of yours.

  • @FatesLady If there were a God, you wouldn't be able to keep him out of anywhere.... let alone your house. You might keep people from talking about him, but your comment doesn't really make much sense.

  • @joshpnw How would you like me knocking on your door to preach the word of the Lord God Zeus? No?

We all have the freedom to believe what we want in this country, and that means keeping politics separate from religion.

  • @FatesLady Bring it.

  • @joshpnw I'm happy to have an intelligent debate about law, religion, and politics. If you want to resort to playground tactics, please just leave me alone.

  • @FatesLady LOL @ "intelligent debate"... does that include one about "Lord God Zeus?"

You aren't intelligent enough to debate me... move on.

  • @joshpnw gotta love that charitable christian spirit. You're a fine example of your creed, truly.

  • @FatesLady Who said I was a christian?

  • Amen !!!

  • Hmm.. well what is true is that the WE in this song for sure apllies to the writers of this song and the men that play and sing this song. A true testament to their faith. Whether or not you believe, is up to you, so dont discredit this song because it might not be about you!

  • In God I do NOT trust - An active duty US Marine stationed overseas.

  • I find this song kind of ridiculous, and not a very good song. Maybe it's not being played on radio stations just because the song is not very good. PS, I don't believe in God...that does not make me a bad person or anti-American. I'm an American, I love my country, and I have faith in myself as a good human being. Songs like this seek to try to divide people, under the guise of Patriotism and Religious allegiance.

  • I am an Australian, but I am aware the USA is a predominantly a Christian fearing/believing nation. I feel extremely sorry for the Majority to be treated as a Minority. I cannot see that the Mormons, the Latterday Saints, the Presbo's, the Anglicans, the Catholics....and probably every single other religion EXCEPT ONE would be offended. I am not at all religious but I see the beauty of this song thru' the eyes of a Nationalist who loves his/her country and the freedom of expression that belongs

  • That is one beautiful song fellows keep it up.

  • This is the most beautiful song I have ever heard. I requested this to my local radio station and listened for 4.5 hours and they never played it. It's pathetic what this country is coming too.

  • @ThreeDoorsDownis2009 I bet 92.5 XTU of Philly PA would not play this song either. They wont play "Keep the Change" by Darryl Worley, I have requested it many times... Have to keep politically correct i guess, which is a bunch of BS!! Take a listen to his song see what you think.

  • AWESOME and TRUE SONG!!!!

  • Im so glad that my trust is 100% in God and that is the lesson I will teach to my children as well!!! This song is wonderful and Im glad to have heard it! To anyone who doesnt know it Jesus loves all of you and you CAN and SHOULD put your trust in him!!

  • America watch and learn!

  • the reason they don't play this song on country radio,

is that it is a ridiculous, terrible song. but it is impossible to say that to you people. it just makes you believe that the world is against you, you are being persecuted for your faith, and you must continue to stand strong and fight the good fight for jesus. by the way, most christians in this country are nothing at all like jesus, and should be completely completely ashamed. he would be horrified with this God and country stuff.

  • I hate to agree with you, but I agree with you completely.

  • this is a very good song

  • lil wayne is on the radio because he's politically correct

  • OK...where is the crowd? Where is the audience noise at the beginning or end? I don't understand why people don't tell the truth. This is a track from the Diamond Rio Greatest Hits II CD. It has nothing to do with a Las Vegas concert.

  • You could be right about it being the CD version, but I think they just copied the e-mail that's being sent around about this song and put it as the description :) The e-mail comes with a video of the Las Vegas concert.

  • WONDERFUL song, IF you love our country. God be with us as we vote this carlatan out the door.

  • if god is real why does this song suck? ^^

  • it doesnt suck! The people who made this country were very strong Christians, people have forgotten God and thats why this place is in bad shape.I love America but if people dont put God first then its going to go to hell

  • ...idiot.

  • FYI . Been to college, played their game but was not brain washed like so many young people these days. I only have one question for those nonbelivers. If the universe (was) created by a star burst, where did the star come from. " I am the alpha and omega" Did your college explain that to you? Some mention history, history shows this nation has been a christian nation since it's beginning and we have been blessed for it. Now not much. I pity you GOD less. He has a plan for you, It's your choice

  • A) it wasn't a star burst, that's a candy. It was a collision of matter.

B)matter cannot be created or destroyed.

  • it is in the poverty of one's imagination to presuppose a beginning or end to any and all things.

    god bless.

  • Connections between government and God were incorporated as a way to keep communism from spreading across the country. "In God we trust" was added to The Pledge in 1954, and only in 1955 was currency required to say "In God We Trust."

It's not the praising of God's influence in America that angers me, but rather the big-headed hicks singing this cheesy, historically inaccurate bullshit. They've obviously never been in a college history course, and this makes me want to vomit.

  • If this guys can't get air time it's because they suck. When "I can only imagine" by Mercyme first came out in 2001, it received a lot of attention and was played on Christian and mainstream radio very often. It went onto receive many awards. If an artist has talent and uses it in a manner that touches people , he will go far...regardless of the fact that he is singing about God. Another song comes to my mind "Yahweh will be there" by McDonald/Ingram ... a smash hit that has become a classic.

  • There Is Only ONE

"Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole."

"This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner."

"Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." Acts 4:10-12

    And HIS N

  • Our forefather's may not have all worshipped God, but they atleast ACKNOWLEDGED God and our bill of rights is based on the presumption that we as humans are all endowed with inherent rights given by our Creator. Our whole system of government and economy (constitutional republic and capitalism) is based on Biblical morality and ethics, and it's continued success depends on it. Our nation is collapsing economically and our freedoms are slowly disappearing because suddenly "God" is offensive. Pfft

  • In sentance #1 of the Declaration you'll find the only reference to "God" the forefathers make: "the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God" and that only in ref'ce to dissolving alliance with Europe. "Laws of Nature" precedes mention of God - "God" is upheld by Nature, not Christianity. These were MY kind of forefathers. Not to mention that it borders on near Heathenism (my actual religion, heath meaning "of nature"

The only other reference is to the "Creator" - sentance #2. Thats it.

  • "One Nation Under God" has only been part of the Pledge of Allegiance since the 1950's -- a fairly new addition, so the argument that it's always been there is false. I am a Christian and believe my faith is important to me, but I also respect that others value their own religions as well. Our religions may be different, but we should show each other respect for another otherwise there will be no PEACE. My God wants me to help find Peace in this world. I will do my part - treat others as myself.

  • Everyone is entitiled to their opinion, but THANK GOODNESS we live in a country where SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE is intended to protect Americans from having to worship (and yes, sorry but pledging one nation under God is WORSHIP) a God or gods they don't believe in. Religion has NO PLACE in our government - though it may have an important place in your daily life, it is NOT ALLOWED to dictate the lives of all Americans.

  • Gee, I'm an American and I don't believe in a male God. Or the Bible either. Does this mean I should leave?

  • What is your ultimate source of authority then? We all have some source of truth that rules the way we view life.

  • Would be fine with me

  • WOW! I wish America did still trust in God... I think some still do, but look at comments below. People in America deny Jesus, their CREATOR who died on the cross for their sins. He is a holy and righteous God, and calls for repentance from America. Religion is not our Creator. There is only ONE God. We are a nation under God (JESUS) not many Gods. America has spiritual devils causing deception. I wish the truth were known. THE BIBLE ISN'T JUST HISTORY!!!! The sun is old, but is alive!

  • I AGREE!!!! America owes it to him to at least acknowledge him more.

  • yeah i can imagine one its called the soviet union if you dont have anything to believe in whats the point? its the reason they collapsed and will also be the reason for our destruction i'm just happy my parents will not be around to see when you hippie bastards get in the coming shit we will see who you call to but he will not be there and i will pray for your soul

  • I do believe in something. I believe in loving other people because it's the right thing to do, not because a 2000 year old book tells me to.

  • Imagine a world without religion. The New York City skyline would sure look different.

Folks need to understand that the USA was set up under the idea that you can worship whomever and whatever you want... or NOTHING. It doesn't make me less of an American to not think there is a zombie savior in the sky reading my mind.

  • awesome

  • This is a very true song....we do need to stand up 4 God and Jesus!Cause they r the reason we r here today!!!!!

  • Picture of the Horseshoe Falls at Niagara Falls? Uhm...those are in Canada, not the U.S. Pretty tune, but over the top. In this country, I have the right to no religion if I want, and I thank the soldiers who defend that right.

  • True you do have that choice but after all the years of saying the pledge with "One nation under God" and " In God we trust" incorperated in our country why are people complainging now after hundreds of years. The way I look at it is if you dont believe in god fine thats your choice but why be imature about the religous aspects of this country. And thats what I believe personally thats what this song is saying. I'm not trying to bitch at you. Hope you didnt take it that way.

  • wow this song is totally true!!! God has everything to do with our freedom! God is the reson we have freedom today if we didn't have freedom we would be in bondage to our president (king if we were not free) president oboma is trying to take away our freedom and I SAY IT'S TIME, WE THE PEOPLE, TAKE A STAND! IN GOD WE TRUST!

  • Can we talk about the fact that even aside from how factually incorrect and offensive this song is to those of us who are aware of freedom of religion and the establishment clause, this song is seriously awful? I'd rather listen to a dog farting into a microphone.

  • That is your opion which you are entitled to but I amoung many others believe that this song should be played on the radios and relaesed to the public if someone doesnt like it they can turn the radio station tune it out or not by the cd if its on a cd.

  • This song is beautiful. It is sad that a group expressing their love and faith in our country and their God has received so much criticism. It is sad because this is America the land of the free and the land of free speech. If this song is offensive to some, then those who find offense can freely choose to not listen to it. Just as I have freely chosen to not respond to the multitude of rude and offensive comments that came before this one. God Has Blessed America, Thank Him!

  • Where is the picture of the modern day sodom and gomorrah where these fools perform? Las Vegas right? Where they get the resounding standing ovations? Sin City? Oh yeah that's right, god probably doesn't know about that place yet - only if he did.... This group is hypocritical - don't forget to tip your beer waitress!

  • What better place to take our Lord word but sin city, and by the way if muslims don't like the idea ...get the hell out of the greatest nation on earth... The Good Old USA...

My respect and prayers to the USA Armed Force...from Puerto Rico...Robert

  • with whom did Jesus spend most of his time??? Was it with the righteous and holy????? or was it with the sinners???

  • Thats where they need to preform. to get the people who dont!

  • I'm glad God does not think you are absurd.

The ACLU's website is not a completely accurate picture of what they actually stand up for.

  • The ACLU is suing to ban this song because they say it offends Muslims and other religions.

  • No, DonRocco, the ACLU defends the rights of Americans to express views such as these. This is completely free individual expression of a religious viewpoint. And I support their freedom to express this viewpoint that I personally find absurd.

Check out their website, there are hundreds of cases that refute what you're saying.

  • When I look at the comments, I count my blessings that we still have the right to share our beliefs. Anyone that has traveled out of this fine country will understand the sheer fear that is in various countries where expression is not possible. It is an individual that uses the age old statement of the "Christians started the wars" WOW that is an old one. We do have a free choice on each individual basis and my belief is based on a study of the bible, how about you? My God is real!

  • God has nothing to do with our freedom of speech here in this Awesome Country! The only place where my speech has been silenced is in every church I have stepped my foot in. I'm glad you have have strong faith - direct it inward and don't over share your zeal of your faith - it can come across as ignorance.

  • Yes, I live in America, and no matter what goes on around me, I still trust in God. when so many are turning their backs on the God who created life, I trust in Him. As for the comment about the bible saying not to kill but christians jump into wars, wars were not started by christians. They were started by those who have chosen to turn their backs on God and live for evil. Christians are always the first to jump in to help those who are being killed by those who want to be God, themselves!

  • I am pretty certain that if you most any credible historian of the modern world, you would find that they disagree quite vehemently with what you have said. Paul Johnson for instance makes the point that Stalin's Russia murdered over 50 million people alone. Mao's China killed over 60 million in the 20th century alone. Christianity has not come close to those numbers even though even 1 death is too many.

  • @wnusbaum

HUR DUR DUR let me use power hungry people that used religion because it had a greater effect on people than anything else at the time to prove christianity is bad im so smart. You honestly think they wouldnt have used a different religion at the time if it was as popular?

  • According to the book The 5000 Year Leap, " The founders were not indulging in any idle gesture when they adopted the motto, "In God We Trust" and to [swear to tell the truth before God in the courts]...as Washington pointed out in his farewell address: 'Where is the security for property, for reputation, for life, if the sense of religious obligation desert the oaths which are the instruments of investigation in courts of justice?'

  • @minitwinie

Actually, our founding fathers did not come up with the motto "In God We Trust," that I can tell. It was adopted as the national motto in 1956, although currency bearing the motto "In God We Trust" came into vogue during the Civil War.

I am Christian, and I love my Savior. However, I believe America is a land of liberty, and I hope all Christians would respect the rights of all who may believe and worship differently than they do.

  • @jeng020 I'm a Christian, but I'm not a practicing Christian @minitwinie. I also have served my country. I was in the Navy for 6 years active duty. I fully support any and all persons who choose to live here yet continue to worship as their culture/religion says they should. I fully believe that they chose to come here. They knew this was the LAND OF THE FREE AND HOME OF THE BRAVE. If our country allows you to practice your religion in a country that it isn't the "norm" then leave me to mine.

  • @jeng020 I agree as long as it's within our laws.

  • this entertains me especially how it talks about trusting god and shows the rows of gravestones for dead soldiers even though it says in the bible that you shouldnt kill anyone but religious people seem to be so ready to jump into a war dont get me wrong i believe in god what i disagree with is the way god is portrayed and the way people act because of religion i think that its only fair to take religion out of all things political considering that not everyone in america is the same religion

  • Christianity is how America was started. If you would actually read the bible God does say thou shalt not kill but he also does not believe for us to turn our backs on evil either.

  • Not turning our backs on evil never means doing or creating evil ourselves.. Something you obviously don't understand..

  • "everyone in America is the same religion"??? What in the world can U possibly mean by that? Also, belief in God & $4 will buy U a Big Mac. Demons also believe but they do something most people who claim belief in God don't, they TREMBLE. Last I checked Demons wont receive salvation. Also, the greek word 4 "kill" that U reference actually translates 2 "Thou shalt not murder". God specifically sanctions Govt's 2 carry out justice in the form of executing those who take life.

  • It's just a nice song, someone who obviously trusts that we have a God and we should trust him. I do not however believe that the real God would only bless America and leave everyone else out. The God I learned to love as a child, loved all the children in the World. God bless the World and everyone in it...everyone! We are different, that is good... we should learn from each other. That's my humble silly bubble head opinion if you like, but it's mine none the less. God bless EVERYONE!

  • I hear you Lea, and yes God bless you too! Just keep in mind that the United States was founded on God. Our forefathers came here specifically for the freedom to worship God as they chose. Our founding documents are based on the concept that rights are given to us by God. Without God, our rights do not exist. Therefore, God must be the basis for our nation. No other country was started on this premise. I do pray that God blesses us so that we can continue to defend freedom around the world.

  • wonderfully put, ExZonie.

And God won't bless "everyone" focusedlea. Those who hate Him and His people, actually, will not ultimately be blessed for it. Killing people just because they are Christians in countries where believing in Christ is against the law, etc...I'm pretty sure that's not what you were implying, but just thought I'd say it anyway.

  • the thing is....uhh you had your chance to make your voices heard last election...apparently you fell short several million voices

  • Love it, God bless America

  • God bless the U.S.A!

You guys save us from the nazi's and the Russians!

    Thank you my hero's!

    Yes! We Can!

    Greets from Holland.

  • That is so true ! Beautiful song, for which has a lot of truth. I trust in God and I always will, no matter how tough things get. God Bless America !

  • The separation of church and state ONLY applies to the state not interfering in religion. Because every person (christian, agnostics, or Hindu, etc.) has a belief system, the government (state) will ALWAYS be influenced by 'church'. Most people don't even know that the 'separation of church and state' is NOT in the constitution, or bill of rights, it was only made in reference to the first amendment, which allows us all to express our selves. Atheism is a religion just as everything else is.

  • How can any of you listen to this song and think that stuff like this is why America has gone backwards. People with no beliefs, who force those of us with a sense of decency and humble belief in a loving God to hide our faith are the reason for the state of this nation.Let's see...Greed and filth are what have been promoted when people use "Seperation of Church and State" as a way to get people to Deny God. It has been forced down our throats. I for one, have had enough of being SILENT...

  • good don't be silent

  • Why are we going backwards in America? Separation of church and state is a concept that was formed during the Enlightenment, and some of us want to revert back to the ways of the Dark Ages. SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE ARE GOOD FOR BOTH.

    -Baptist minister

  • Sadly, this is hype. Child abuse and child exploitation is rampant here in America. Pornography is art here in America. Prime time TV is crass here in America. More folks lose their homes every day here in America. Sexual slavery is hidden, but it is here in America. God's face just turns away at the greed of Wallstreet here in America. We have tortured and talked about our moral higher ground here in America....................

  • Regardless of the origin, just listen to the song...If it doesn't make your hair stand-up, then you need to move the hell out of the U.S.A. ...God Bless America.

  • Excuse me, but god or no God the bible teaches not to judge, who the hell are you to judge! Move the hell out, my goodness, sounds like you need to listen to the song a few more times yourself!

  • diversity is a joke, a funny one. if you want to always have division, then celebrate the very thing that causes it, diversity. what we should be celebrating is what makes us the same. freedom, choice, bringing up our families to be good, moral people who love each other, and other people. always celebrating what makes us different drives a eep wedge between people, and family.

  • OK, I know I'm just being a pain in the A** but here goes; This recording is not from a Las Vegas concert it is a studio recording. This song has been released it is available on Diamond Rio's "Greatest Hits II" Album, which you can purchased at Wal Mart. The Single as well is available on iTunes as is the Greatest Hits II album. The Song is called "In God We Still Trust" not "Presidents Day". And finally I have heard this song on the radio. Is the person who originated this a Retard?

  • nannygrizzly sounds like a all knowing bigot to me

  • surely you can come up with something other than bigot, please tell me you can. most liberals resort to the bigot word when all else fails.

  • To Wren76, I will not celebrate diversity, as I am NOT ashamed of my God, who died for us all. Yes, everyone is entitled to their opinion, (wrong as they may be), but this song says it all. GOD was the founding of this country, and as far as THIS family is concerned, if anyone believes otherwise, they are welcomed to go to leave THIS country! "GOD" BLESS AMERICA!!

  • I don't think jesus was black my friend, he was a jew, therefore, jewish. You can preceive him as you wish but jews are not black. you should take the uneducated remark more to heart.

  • Dude, I don't know where you get off telling people that this song was never released to the public. It appears on Diamond Rio's 2006 Greatest Hits, Vol. 2. Since you can pick up that CD at any Wal Mart, I think it qualifies as being available to the public.

  • In response to wren76-no offense but your 2 cents are about the percentage of people that do not believe in some form of GOD! I work with people of all religions and we always talk about our faith in GOD regardless if GOD is ALA, VISHNU, ATAYAMEN, HERNE or Jesus' FATHER. Here in AMERICA the majority of our nation believe in GOD! 98% believe in a GOD! Diversity has nothing to do with being patriotic, if people from other countries can't respect that they can go back home!

  • Even within it this song contradicts itself. If there are people who are supporting separation on religion and state than sorry but "in America, not everyone still trusts God".

I'm christian and trust God but I also accept and support the fact that one of the best things about this country is that everyone supposedly has the freedom to believe what they believe. Therefore we should celebrate diversity, not make generalizations and exclude people.

    Just my two cents...

  • It's funny how so-called Christians are anything but...Would Jesus say "if u don't like it, GO BACK HOME"? Most religions are a crutch for weak-minded people who can't make their own decisions. I myself believe in intelligent design but not the God that these people force feed u and put their own spin on. They're just as evil as al-qaeda..
