  • @iiHeyMoon It's actually "Pyatatchok", but still very close, good catch!

  • Russian Piglet is packing heat!

  • The sound comes a little late...

  • Dude this rocks! My mom hates the voice of the American Winnie the Pooh so I wonder what she'd think of this one.

  • In Soviet Russia, honey pot eat bear!

nothing like winnie the pooh you're used to, just a different interpretation of the books.

  • Wow. This is weird. And completely different!!

  • lol! but OF COURSE piglet has a gun in his house XD

  • i remember watching this when i was little

and some other show that came on before i went to bed

  • Ohh... this is is little bit weird.

  • Russian Winnie seems much more literate than his American counterpart.

  • Piglett has a gun... Ow, my childhood.

  • Stop confussing my brain!!!! :(

  • Я люблю его <3

  • This actually seems scary to me... Just the whimsical realistic drawings and tinkling music that sounds almost insane....

  • Russians kick ass when it comes to beautiful cartoons. =3

  • @Walkyrianna The subs work for most of the users. Try updating your Flash player (from adobe.com Website), or try connecting with different browser - FireFox, Internet Explorer etc. The language settings of you operating system might be the reason, or if you are using a non-standard device (not a PC) to access the Website. In any case, google or bing the "closed captions problems with the YouTube player'. Good luck!

  • @Walkyrianna - Click "CC" in the YouTube player to enable subtitles and enjoy!

  • I remember watching this ages ago :3 Good times.

  • Such fantastic cartoons. Simple and at the same time constructive plot. <3

  • Could someone send me the Russian words to Winnie's Poohs first ditty? I'm studying Russian, but I am relatively new to the language so I am having a hard time catching his words (he's so fast!), but I love it!

  • @sazmedley: Here's the Russian lyrics for the first song: Если я чешу в затылке - Не беда, В голове моей опилки, Да-да-да! Но хотя там и опилки, Но кричалки, и вопилки, А также шумелки, Пыхтелки и сопелки... Сочиняю я неплохо Иногда! Да! Хорошо живет на свете Винни-Пух, Оттого поет он эти Песни вслух. И неважно, чем он занят, Если он худеть не станет, А ведь он худеть не станет Если, конечно, Вовремя подкрепится... Да!

  • You have to turn on the YouTube player Closed Captions to see the subtitles. Click on the ^ button and choose "CC - Turn on Captions" .

  • Hahaha, awesome!^^

Pooh-bear will always be epic win!^^

  • I love this. My Russian teacher in high school used to make us watch it. So glad you uploaded it!

  • Beautiful graphics :)

  • Having already spent significant time translating the cartoons, I've discovered 0xDD, vinnipuhi & Niffiwan did the translation already!

Kudos to you all, guys, and I can only hope I was able to preserve wordplay not present in the original book. All three episodes were translated at once (starting with song lyrics), so there is added continuity between them.

I have used the original A. Milne's book text where it matched the B. Zakhoders translation closely. This made my job easier at times.

  • Heh, it happens. That's 3 (!) translations of the first episode, now.
