I really don't care that the graphics are outdated. I've played both WoW and AC and AC is, imo, the better gaming experience. WoW PvP sucks, intensely. AC's PvP is a challenge. I know because I've done both. Verdict: play a game before you judge it.

AC was known for it's monthly patches, which sometimes added as much content as an x-pack. Back in the day, there were three big MMO's: UO, EQ and AC. It's actually funny how WoWbears have never heard of it, which means they probably got into MMO's with WoW. Yeah, AC looks like shit now, but so does WoW, and if graphics are all that you're clinging to, then what's your argument against Darkfall? It has everything that AC has (open, sandbox gameplay with FFA PvP) but newer graphics.

This game was created in 1999. Most online PvP games at the time looked like shit. I didn't play the game based on looks, I played it because of the rare pvp system that you don't see in WoW. In order to be a decent player in WoW you need to play all day every day and gain gear. Your skill level is based on your skill alone, its about gear. Someone in blue quest gear would never beat a full vengeful gladiator geared player. In AC gear doesnt matter, if you're better than that person then you win
And yes I did play both games so that basically means I have more right to speak out about AC than you do. True, popularity doesn't have to equate to good, and after eight years WoW most probably won't have as many players. But take into account that the amount of players AC had peaked at 120.000 (According to Wikipedia), and compare that number to the amounts of WoW players... WoW is the winner, and will be quite some challenge for ANY other MMO to beat for years to come...
Asheron's Call was also one of the first generation MMOs, aside Ultima online and Anarchy online, if this game was released as a more updated version now, it would reach a high population

When I used to play on Darktide back in 1999-01. The biggest pvp names around were Para God, Pillow Attack, Dark Hieromancer, just a few names that came to my head. AC was known for it's monthly patches, which sometimes added as much content as an x-pack. Back in the day, there were three big MMO's: UO, EQ and AC. It's actually funny how WoWbears have never heard of it, which means they probably got into MMO's with WoW. Yeah, AC looks like shit now, but so does WoW, and if graphics are all that you're clinging to, then what's your argument against Darkfall? It has everything that AC has (open, sandbox gameplay with FFA PvP) but newer graphics.

This game was created in 1999. Most online PvP games at the time looked like shit. I didn't play the game based on looks, I played it because of the rare pvp system that you don't see in WoW. In order to be a decent player in WoW you need to play all day every day and gain gear. Your skill level is based on your skill alone, its about gear. Someone in blue quest gear would never beat a full vengeful gladiator geared player. In AC gear doesnt matter, if you're better than that person then you win

What do these morons think is so expensive about WoW, because they keep saying that I can't afford to play it? It can't be the $15 monthly fee. Do they think it's the hardware required? Not only could I easily run the game at the time of it's release, it's been 5 fucking years. It's ancient as far as games go and the graphics weren't even that good to begin with. No, I don't play WoW, because it sucks.
I play whatever MMO has the best PvP system. It has nothing to do with graphics.

wows pvp system is flawed, imbalanced and stupid. To say otherwise shows your lack of knowledge. AC was easily the best PvP game ever, the fact that you could kill anyone at will was great. In WoW you can only kill the other fact....you can't kill annoying dumb fucks that are actually on your side. And worst of all you don't lose shit when you die. No lost for the loser and no reward for the winner, how is WoW better than AC? Please give me a reasonable explanation so I can laugh

aldelta19, shut the fuck up. WoW is absolutely terrible in every way possible. Its too easy to a point where any 10 year old kid could be just as geared as anyone else. The game takes no skill whatsoever, all it takes is ALOT of time. I've had 3 Gladiators on Dark Iron US server and trust me it was fucking easy as shit. AC on the other hand actually takes skill and not gear, if you win a fight in AC its because of your skill and not the gear your wearing. Shut the fuck up you dumb shit

True, popularity doesn't have to equate to good, and after eight years WoW most probably won't have as many players. But take into account that the amount of players AC had peaked at 120.000 (According to Wikipedia), and compare that number to the amounts of WoW players... WoW is the winner, and will be quite some challenge for ANY other MMO to beat for years to come...

I've played both, I have a level 70 gladiator rogue in WoW and from my experience I feel I have the right to say that WoW's pvp mechanics is a fucking joke, AC is 10x times better in the pvp section. If anyone thinks WoW's pvp is better, that is just proof that WoW is your first MMO, therefore that means you have no right to say anything relating to PVP bitches.

+10 , I agreee , WoW is not made will at all for PvP , I have multiple 70's which I sold after I did arenas and farmed the current seasons gear... then their was nothing else to do... besides boring BG's and AV... which is obsolete since you have full arena gear.

When I used to play on Darktide back in 1999-01. The biggest pvp names around were Para God, Pillow Attack, Dark Hieromancer, just a few names that came to my head. They were some of the first well known pvpers back in my days, I don't know who's running the Darktide scene now a days.....nice vid btw, good skills.
