I remeber that truck back when it lived in duluth..spent many a time at notavan's house tinkerin with the windsor under glass... when i had my mustang and elky... i miss that man and the ride.. what a treat bottlein it outta the hole on garfield.... it really gets your attention in the passenger seat
That truck is parked in my garage. The trans was rebuilt after the explosion, which was caused by a u-joint going out.
Notavan made a return the following year to the same event and made a few passes down the track as a retirement run. On the way home he had a heartattack and parked the truck for good.
Recently, he bought a 1995 Ford Mustang SVT and is in the process of transplanting the 351 Windsor and trans into the Mustang.
351 Windsor? Damn man. I didn't think you'd be able to pop the front end up like that with a 351 Windsor.. A buddy of mine's old 81 Crown Vic had one of those motors, it fuckin rocked.. Then he did the same thing... blew the tranny. Sold the whole car for $100
