@chibachib No dude, Mayhem went south since the departure of Euronymous from this world. Ever since then institution called "Mayhem" is paraded around by these bunch of untalented junkies and alcoholics. Gorgoroth and Immortal are carrying the black flame nowadays. But generally these are dark times for trve BM i wonder what will be in 15 years when all of these guys from Norway and Sweden grow old, what will happen to BM
@pumpazabicikli I'm sorry but I grow tired of the 'trve kvlt' metalists. Rune is by far more talented than Oystein ever was, may he rest in peace. Musically, this song is damn near perfect, as well as most, if not all, of Rune's music with Mayhem, Ava Inferi, Aura Noir, Mezzerschmidt, and all of his other bands. This was the best line-up of Mayhem. Three releases. Thats more than any other line-up of Mayhem's.

Then why is De Mysteriis classical BM masterpiece along with those old songs like Necrolust and similar, instead of new stuff? What does line-up have to do with anything? @onlyreallifematters They WERE extreme. Black Metal then was not another goddam pop culture multimedia product that you chew up and spit out. It was hardcore, it was tough and if you weren't ready to devote yourself to it 100% then fuck off. It was like that, not like today when everyone is like half-way into something and everyone is a pussy-ass liberal douche, and if someone is hardcore for real then everyone spits on him and tell about how much everyone needs to be hippie

It wasn't about dealing drugs and establishing whore-houses, jesus christ dude. I don't know whether he ever used term "mafia", i think they were described so in newspapers, but they were just a bunch guys with same ideas and philosophy who hated DM bands and wanted them to suffer for neutering something so destructive and beutiful as metal
So when this band goes on the road they take amps, guitars, drums, bass, mics, chords and severed pig heads?
